3toyo Posted October 22 Posted October 22 How is everyone, Ive bought my first Alphard, it's a 2005 2.4l. I can't believe how spacious they are, I thought my landcruiser was big, I own 3 oldish Toyota's, the Alphard is bog standard, I'm looking to add some goodies, any recommendations, interior lighting, entertainment systems, etc etc would love to hear what and how you've been able to do this
Gamith Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Well, as far as add-ons go it really depends on what you currently have and what you want / need. I have just fitted Cruise Control to my 2005 2.4l Alphard with approx 50ukp of bits from ebay. As we plan on doing a fair number of long motorway journeys it made sense. I have also fitted: a GPS HUD as my speedo is in KpH, a dashcam for 'just in case', I have changed the 2x 110v 100A sockets in the centre console for 2 dual USB ports and have taken out the rear seats and fitted a wooden floor for us to carry stuff more easily and still have 5 seats.

Or four or five forward gears ? Paul's (above) Alphard must be newer than yours may be. The Gen 1 (non-facelift) will cost a small fortune to add a cruise as it uses a manual throttle. The Gen 1 facelift uses 'fly by wire' See Chris.ac for more detailed information.
Gamith Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Yep - mine is a May 2005 facelift model (must be one of the first I would imagine) and has the little 'kerb' mirror on the wing.
