Dave Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I've just received a PCN from Edinburgh council for unwittingly driving in their LEZ. I thought that a December 2006 2.4 petrol Alphard would be compliant (even if their database doesn't know this). Can anyone tell me if this vehicle is compliant, or how I can find out, prove it etc? Or should I just pay up. Many thanks, Dave
Picasso Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Hello Dave what’s your reg no. If I remember it’s 2007 onwards that’s unless free
Tricky Posted October 23 Posted October 23 As far as I am aware from 2006 onwards all imports are ULEZ compliant. Live in Glasgow and not had any issues.
Michael Brown Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Go on DVLA website and present your registration plate, it should tell you if you are compliant or not
Picasso Posted October 24 Posted October 24 You are ulez free have checked every where else and it says your free you need to appeal this
Jenny Smedley Posted October 24 Posted October 24 This is what the Scottish ones say you should do. *If you have received a penalty charge notice (PCN) for driving in a LEZ and you believe that your vehicle is LEZ compliant then the local authority that issued the PCN will conduct a review of the vehicle compliance status with the DVLA as part of the appeals process. To do this, please contact the relevant local authority using the process for appeal described in the PCN. If you have not received a PCN and you think the result from this vehicle checker is incorrect, please email us at lowemissionzonesenquiries@gov.scot including the name and address of the registered keeper along with the vehicle make, model, colour and vehicle registration number (number plate). If the vehicle registration number has changed in the past five years then the result from this vehicle checker may not be correct. If you believe that the result is incorrect for this reason then please email us with the registered keeper and vehicle details as described above. The data accuracy of this service is always improving. We recommend that you re-check the compliance status of your vehicle shortly before you intend to drive in any LEZ. 2

Rojie Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I am sincerely sorry to disagree with my learned colleague, Picasso, but my Alphie was manufactured in July 2006. It is definitely ULEZ compliant (in London, at least). My understanding is that the Gen 1 facelift vehicles are compliant. Whereas, the pre-facelift vehicles are not recognised as being compliant (whether they are or not). Some members have taken up the challenge (with the DVLA) and had their pre-face-lift vehicles confirmed as compliant ! Imho, if you have a facelift Gen 1 you do have some chance of agreeing compliance; however, whether you have the determination to prove it is another matter. Good Luck, as you may ned it.
