Cat failed MOT , I need a new one so im told.

Anybody have one for sale ?

or can point me in the detection of a sealer ?

thanks

Well a start might be here: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/toyota-japan/alphard/ANH10W/34483/engine/1702 but you should make sure that the model is correct.

Also postage will be a factor I suspect (in this example the item is ukp 212.93 and postage is ukp 133.90 = 346.83).

Getting the part number is key (in this example it would be 17430-20090) - then look on ebay or similar for any suitable matches. Expect results to come back as fitting an Estima or something as lots of parts are used in different models.

I am sure you know already but just in case - Ebay has the ability to add your car and it can then find compatible items.

thank you for that .

most mot failers on cats is down to emissions i have answered a few threads on here and sovled the issue for a few members this a cheap option to try and most of the time it works if your doing stop start journeys it wont do your cat good as it will clog up with soot once a month give it a good hard drive get it hot this will clear the cat .what i reconmend you do is go and buy a bottel of a good branded cat cleaner all you do is add it to your petrol tank put a full bottle in when you got a quarter tank of fuel then give it a good drive refill quarter a tank then put another bottle cat cleaner drive normally take it for your mot should pass on emissions . learn from this once a month put cat cleaner in your fuel i do every month .

Hi

.

I had put one bottle of that in the tank the day before the MOT.

This is because the previous years mot tester struggled to get it passed the emission test.

This year he tried a couple of times by revving it hard and then testing it but it just kept failing on the cat emission.

Perhaps I should of put more cat cleaner in the tank for longer but at £20 a bottle I was reluctant.

Thank for advice
