Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before. My 2009 has very weak headlights, so I'm thinking of replacing them with LED lights. Does anybody know the type

Also my high beams have ballast connected. One side packed in so I purchased a replacement set, exact same spec but the connections are loose and they keep playing up, wo I would like to change these for LED high beams that I can plug directly into.

Thanks in advance

HID low beam D4S, I have a set on the way... high beam 9005 I believe.

My low beam HID is a D2R, took it out last night as I too want to improve it. I'm hoping the bulb has aged and that's the trouble. 20241208_150903.thumb.jpg.c472814404a52d04a7396f4ac41eade7.jpg20241208_150903.thumb.jpg.c472814404a52d04a7396f4ac41eade7.jpg

If you have HID projector then that's the wrong bulb. "R" means it's for reflector. All projector headlights should use "S" bulb.

Hi @opelrsx

Ooh looks like one of the previous owners have fitted the wrong bulbs then!

Could explain why they aren't as good as I expected too I guess!

Thank you for that info, I'll go and see my local guys for a new pair!

I feel they are still very weak, at least on mine... I prefer HID over LED bulbs but cannot find a shop to do proper HID projector retrofit in my area. Still waiting for the LED bulbs to show up, hopefully they will be better...

Thank you to all. I have been looking on Amazon but not too sure of the quality

Arrived, looks not bad... let's see how it works shortly 😃

Put them on, telling from my eyes, probably 10%-20% brighter than stock HID. No complaint though, still using stock ballast and projector, so cannot expect huge improvement.

New high beams sorted. Out with the ballast and new LEDs wired direct. Work, fit perfect and gives me less connections to worry about.

Have you still got these fitted and how are they working out for you, any problems?
