turnerjr Posted Friday at 11:51 AM Posted Friday at 11:51 AM Hi. I’ve been looking at upgrades for my Vellfire when it arrives and the uk stock seems quite limited for obvious reasons. Has anyone had any success in ordering parts from Japan and who have they used? I’ve used nengun performance for many years with parts for my supra but they don’t have much for a vellfire. I’ve also used yahoo auctions in the past but they seem to have barred Europe from using them now. I don’t want to go crazy on modifications as it’s going to be a daily family car, just subtle things like the grille, wheels, lower it a bit and a few upgrades inside like lighting, carpets / mats etc. It seems like there is a big following in Japan to modify these cars, it seems a shame that we have such limited access over here.

Amayama is good for bling parts, and many replacement parts. Think very carefully before lowering your vehicle. Pot-holes and speed ramps / sleeping policemen will cause you no end of worry. Lowering will not be cheap and may affect resale value as it is expensive to refit OEM hardware.
turnerjr Posted Friday at 04:03 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:03 PM Ok Rojie, thanks, I thought amayama was only oem parts so I will take a look there. yes I’m well aware of the issues, funnily enough I’ve never had an issue with my supra in 20 years but have had blow outs due to pot holes on both my Hondas which are completely standard. I’m only looking on moving to 19 inch wheels and a 15mm drop on lowering springs which will be the same as the Vellfire GS sport editions.
Michael Brown Posted Friday at 05:37 PM Posted Friday at 05:37 PM I bought a Mk2 Estima in 2011 on a W reg , 2000 I think and I drove it home from Hendon and it was clipping a few speed bumps. I got a garge to try and make adjustments to the suspension but unfortunately that did not work too well, the threads on the adjustments were too rusty. Next over a period of time I managed to buy the right ones from motor factors in Chichester and when I had everything I needed, Colin Campbell my local mechanic fitted it all on and it rode much better, with the right ones.
Rojie Posted Friday at 05:49 PM Posted Friday at 05:49 PM Perhaps I am getting confused between Amayama and AliExpress !
kinging Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Take a look at Tegiwa, I believed they have a few items for AH20.

I have a set of lowering springs , I removed them due to some issues when traveling over field lanes etc when visiting campsites (dont recall supras being designed for rough surface travel?) I fitted 19" wheels three years ago, take heed as to Rojie's comments, from my dealings with upgrading several alphards and vellfires they become a "Cash Cow" very quickley
turnerjr Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Thanks for your input kinging, that’s really useful, I will take a look. I’ve found rhdjapan and Blackhawk which have some nice bits and pieces and their shipping to the uk seems quite reasonable.
Gamith Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Take a look at aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-alphard.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.search.0) and search for 'alphard' - lots come up. A popular add-on on the site are plastic light strips that you can feed into gaps between the trim, and then change colour should you wish. I have seen some for the door rails and areas like that! You can also get replacement interior lights in different colours, thing like that.
