jaydog82 Posted Monday at 12:11 PM Posted Monday at 12:11 PM Hi all, after leaving my 2012 Alphard sat over the Xmas period I found that my battery had discharged. After a jump and a charge I have got it going again (battery is only a year old). I thought all was well but I have no power to the radio/nav system which means I also have no reversing camera. I know there is a window reset trick after battery replacement (which wasn't needed) but I wonder if there is something similar with the radio and reversing cam???? I cant find any youtube vids or related topics on here Please help
Picasso Posted Monday at 01:59 PM Posted Monday at 01:59 PM Hello jason maybe a daft question have you checked fuses as you might have blown one also if no luck try asking north star conversions
Voodoo101 Posted Monday at 06:19 PM Posted Monday at 06:19 PM I would go along with the blow fuse check. Maybe the jump start blew it. I think its in the passenger bay fuse box. Depending on your head unit, the rear camera will be powered from that. If its an aftermarket head unit, then they probably took the power from the same cable as the head unit
jaydog82 Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago That was my 1st thought. I checked the one in the drivers side foot well labelled 'Rad2' but will check the passenger one too. Thanks
jaydog82 Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Found it but doesn't look like any of these? Unless anyone knows otherwise?
Gamith Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago My fuse box that holds the radio fuse is in the passenger foot-well, but the layout is different from yours though. I plan on putting a load of these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084VLKNSV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) into the fuseboard to feed the different additions* as the current draw on the audio line is too much and the fuse keeps blowing. My bodging has the radio coming on but the touchscreen doesn't work - a new fuse allows it to work for a while but then it blows and it stops again. * HUD speedometer Dashcam 2x double USB sockets 2nd 'Cigarette lighter' socket A mirror auto-retraction module (which has tipped it over the line 😞 ) This is in addition to the mods that have happened to it over the years and have left the wiring behind the dash somewhat haphazard.
Voodoo101 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Ive just remembered. I had to replace the fuse for the radio when I changed head units. It was in the engine bay fuse box. I cant remember which one but Im 99% sure its in there
