Kevin A Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hi. We’ve got a 2007 2.4 Alphard that’s been converted to a camper van. I need to replace the battery. It’s currently got a Bosch S4020. Is a direct replacement ok or do I need a bigger CCA? Halfords do a battery with same physical dimensions but a CCA of 450 instead of 330 on the Bosch. Thanks.

Halfords should be OK. If they do not fit it for you, ensure the terminals are the correct size for the Alphie wiring AND that the terminals are in the correct orientation and polarity.
BigNev Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Also, if you really actually need to change your battery, if you can do it yourself, try two companies I've used, they do do delivery, Tayna Batteries in Bodelwyddan, and Advanced Battery Supplies in Stockport. You may not necessarily need them, but more amps equals more "in the reserve bank" to still start the engine - after successive starts, lights left on, charging phones etc Both great people to deal with! Good luck getting it sorted out! Edited January 23 by BigNev
