Im in the process of looking for a Vellfire to import.

ive noticed that although its classed as a 7 seater, when I get sent pictures, they only have 6 seats?

am I missing something here?

Would I need to get an 8 seater to secure 7 seats?

thanks in advance

Taking a look at a few pictures I can see that the middle of the third row has an extra headrest, though the seat can't be that comfortable and I can't see a seat belt for it. Maybe its a tax thing in Japan and they count headrests as seats?

I can see why someone might assume there are 7 seats though.

The rear middle position is not that bad for general use, just do a swap over on long journeys.

It is a proper 3 point harness, the belt is stored in the roof and pulls down with two buckles that give a lap and shoulder belt.

In that image, it looks like the rear has both sides set at different angles, hence the exaggerated gap between the fold down armrests.

I will say that the centre position is more comfortable than sitting in the centre in the rear of a Mercedes or bmw; there is no centre hump for the drive shaft or exhaust on the floor so there is plenty of legroom.
