Gear box replacement "Toyota Vellfire ANH20W, 2AZ-FE engine,

Featured Replies

Hi

My 2015 2.4 petrol vellfire died on me yesterday! Engine runs but no drive so I suspect the gear box has gone.

Had been running very smoothly but then noticed a slight roughness at slower speed going up slight incline a mile or so before it completely lost power.

Does anyone know of a garage near Colchester Essex who might be able to do a proper diagnostic check and repair or replacement. From the chassis number and vin plate I think it is a K112-02A trans axle CVT

Any idea if ball park cost?

Thanks for any advice suggestions.

Just a wild guess here.

I haven't come across this problem before.

Have you checked under the car for leaks ?

Have you checked the transmission fluid level ?

I assume a CVT needs fluid !

Sorry, that's all the 'help' I can offer. Good Luck

I have just crawled under the car and see that there is oil o fluid on underneath of cvt area. I have tried to photograph it and will attach. I cannot see where it has come from. Do these units leak from and specific areas? Is it likely to still need replacing?

Videos is not great as hard to get light and camera focus at same spot

It's not a busted drive shaft CV joint is it?

Happened to my brother in law a few years ago, no drive in any gear!

That's barely anything in the way of an oil leak!!!!
