  1. Did you have to wait to get the DVLA registration done or did it before that?
  2. Does anyone know what the difference is between the 240S and 240X the insurance companies ask for? How do we know which one is mine? Any guidance on that would be greatly appreciated. (I did search for 240 everywhere on the forum but could not find an answer)
  3. This is by far the best explanation I have got with regards to the road tax applying to Alphards and Vellfires (or you can say most Japanese Imports). This is from a DVLA agent I chatted with earlier. Hope this helps others wanting to find out the reasoning. So it basically does not matter whether its a 3L V6 or a 2.4 petrol or 2.4 Petrol Hybrid. Tax is the same for all due to following reasons: To find out the current exact rates, you can go to this URL and find out: https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/other-vehicle-tax-rates Still don't know why would the govt charge same for a normal and Hybrid vehicle. Just a way to make more money I guess.
  4. Can you please link to that section as I did try and have a look and could not find any which is why I posted here as well.
  5. Adrian Flux £850 JapCover £1050 Chris Knott £1450 NFU Said cannot provide cover for an imported car unless I have some other policy with them. Very strange as some people here were able to get it from them. Comparison sites £650 (Admiral) Need to get in touch with a few more but its quite a big range
  6. I would like to get these recommendations as well as I am in the same region (Leicester to be precise) and going to get my Vellfire soon
  7. Yes they will be expensive. A bit surprised that brackets/adapters are not available for the 20 series. I have seen some on AliExpress for the 30 series for sure though. Looks like drilling holes is the only option at the moment 🙈
  8. The wiring will be there but existing mirrors do not have cameras installed and my main concern is drilling holes for the cameras. If there are brackets/adapters available that would be better. I do not have the car yet though 😅 it has departed JPN but I am just getting ready for all the changes I want to make to it 😁
  9. Hi All, New to this forum and I would like to also know if you can retro fit cameras to side mirrors? Are there any adapters/brackets available for that? Dont want to drill holes. I have a 2014 hybrid model that I want to fit with an Android system with the 360 cameras. My Vellfire does not come with factory fitted 360 cameras. Only has rear/reverse camera.
