  1. Hi all, I changed my VVTI oil line but noticed I have some oil mist leaking. It's tiny amounts. Does anyone have idea what it may be? I have car booked in.
  2. Thought I'd report that I have what appears to be an oil leak. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt as there was a loose sprocket and the timing chain was changed. I can see where the mechanic has used silicone and in fairness its a good job. But I can't tell where the leak is from but my hunch is that it could be the VVTI oil line and I looked at it and I don't think I can see a gasket/washer on the bottom banjo bolt. So I will change this and then report back. Maybe start a new thread on how to change the VVTI oil line on this platform
  3. My oil line has just arrived. Just waiting for some gaskets now.
  4. I'd consider sourcing an original head unit as the easiest solution
  5. yeah I won't be flushing the whole system. As you said, it will just be drain and fill but I will remove the sump to access the filter and change this too. I only recently bought the car and have no record of the fluid being changed
  6. Just reviving this. I had a look at my engine bay. I believe I have 2WD. I wasn't able to see oil cooler so I can disregard replacing the rubber oil cooler lines. However my VVTI Oil line has the rubber hose so I guess I will be replacing this with a metal one. Looks quite a daunting DIY job due to lack of space in the engine bay.
  7. yeah, it seems a little of an unknown as to how much fluid is needed. I've just ordered 5 litres. So once I get started, I'll take some photos etc to show the process to add to this Forum.
  8. Thanks guys. I've ordered the blueprint part and will order the transmission oil too then I should be good to go
  9. Hello Picasso. That's very helpful so thank you. My reg is BW08YDE Thanks for much
  10. Hi, I have a Series 20 Vellfire with 3.5L Engine. I would like to change the transmission fluid but having some trouble sourcing genuine parts for it. I have tried to use the Toyota parts catalogue but with little success and there are lots of cheap floating around online. Does anyone know what the genuine part number(s) is/are for the Transmission filter and gasket (if separate). Thanks
