I'm having exactly the same problem with wiper blades. Picked up my Vellfire on March 1st and thought I would replace the wipers. I can but not the correct size. Replaced them with the Vipa set as advised but they too are 28 inch not 30 inch and leave a small unwiped are. Hoping the misses can live with it. I think I have tried every avenue so far. Best wishes  and happy searching.

    Toyota directly. Or Amazon.Jp

You can setup a japanese Amazon account, change language and currency to UK, and buy stuff from Japan.

Because it's Amazon, so the taxes etc are included.

No, the cheapest way to add a new fob is via techstream as detailed above.

There are some standalone diagnostic tools that can do it, but they are significantly more expensive, to the point that a 2nd hand laptop and techstream is cheaper.

I have a vci cable, and a WiFi adaptor that works with techstream.

This is the fob you need for your hybrid.

You can check the listing,  it tells you the circuit board number

Hi Teekay, I have a question: I bought recently a OBDII that I can use to scan my 2012 Vellfire. My phone connects to it via WiFi and I have an mobile app. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/streetwize-obdii-code-reader-for-android-and-ios-553999810?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA3JCvBhA8EiwA4kujZt5VBcVRzw1spzBEo3PjEV-_5JrKMRPyZnSpGxpf-RFqik5o2rGPARoCAL4QAvD_BwE . Is this the same with the VCI cable? Can I use it with the Techstream software?  Also, what is the difference between the keys with different frequencies, 312, 313 and 414 Mhz? I need a 4 buttons key and I am not sure which is the correct one for me!

£5.63 40%OFF | 16PIN Android Radio Power Cord Wiring Harness For Toyota Alphard Vellfire AH20 2008-2015 Car stereo Fiber Box Adapter Canbus

    Dunno what happened there!

The two looms have different connectors based on the original headunit.

2008-2010 had minidisc players and external TV decoder boxes. 2010 onwards removed the minidisc and used the space to integrate the TV decoder.

This is why the connectors changed.

Do you still have the original Toyota unit? Check the connectors on the back.

The next thing is, how many speakers do you have?

If you have the 8 speaker setup, you don't need the 'optical' most decoder box.

If you have more than this, you do need the decoder.

Hi Chris.ac. Can you please share with me the wiring for the head unit and the roof unit? I just bought a 2012 Vellfire and it has an Android but many features are not working, like the roof unit. When I removed the front unit, there is a large number of wires thare are not connected or are cut out from connectors, a total mess. A correct wiring diagram would help me a lot as I am an robotic engineer and I should solve them. Many thanks in advance!

    Seen your message.

    I'll send a link.

    Something like option 2 here?

Looks like it deals with the cameras and possible the roof monitor?

    No link in your message.

There are two looms that have different connectors for the standard power, antennas, rear screen etc.

And then there are 2 versions of those 2 looms that include a MOST Audio/video converter and park assist camera converter.

  8. we cant help further.

If you re using diagnostics tools, then you need to use tools that work.

    Techstream is that tool.

Techstream is a tool used by toyota dealers, im surprised your guy with a van full of computers is not aware of it, as it is the tool used on ALL toyota and Lexus, officially.

But if a cheap cable is too much unnecessary expense, I'm not sure how you value peoples time.

    i'm out.

  9. Hi, I've probably seen you on Facebook, and via messenger.

On the 8 speaker system, there is available a cross over bypass cable, it's not compatible with the 18 speaker system.

It's sole purpose is as you gather already, to send a full range signal to the speakers.

This leads me to believe that similar cross overs must exist for the 18 speaker system.

Yes I've been messing with this, I've also removed the factory android microphone from the front of the head unit.

I've belled out the wires to the Toyota microphone, colours and pins are all correct.... I put a post on here too...

Currently my Dad is in hospital so all car tinkering has ground to a halt, but I think using the Toyota factory microphone is the future.

    Best wishes to you.

  11. If you wanted to get rid of it, and could recover all the associated cables, I would be interested, purely for the ' OEM ' factor, Toyota have moved on to newer models now, with WiFi connectivity to your phone, with an app, their best ones have 360° recording, so you can see the entire inside and through the windows as well as the view through the windscreen

  12. In fairness, image quality of dashcams is vastly improved since the DRT-H61A days.

It originally without hedge connected to the AUX screen on the headunit, and pressing the button on the right on the dashcam would allow you to see the image and browser, whilst the parking brake was on.

If you still have the connector hidden behind the headunit, it's basically a RCA composite setup, so you could get it working again if you have a video input on the new headunit.

You can still get the software to install on a pc, which will allow you to view the video stored on the sdcard
