Transmission Fluid Change for the ANH20 Alphard / Vellfire
Yes, I did. I reported back in the comment above here.

Internal lights
On the roof in between the driver and passenger seats is a switch for internal lighting. You can have lights set to off, doors open/closed, and on all the time. Set it to "off'. The lights for the rear most lights are turned on and off manually. Also, check that any lights haven't been left manually on at the per-light switch. Report back on how this works for you, in case you have had someone fiddle with your wiring, or you have some other problem.

Transmission Fluid Change for the ANH20 Alphard / Vellfire
I had the transmission oil "service" a few months ago. It was Β£500. I picked up the car and they'd done a drain and fill, but hadn't dropped the pan and changed the filter. I should have asked exactly what they'd quoted for, but I'd assumed "service" and Β£500 meant the full thing. I'm now looking for a specialist garage that isn't the Toyota garage in Basingstoke π

Transmission Fluid Change for the ANH20 Alphard / Vellfire
Resurrecting this thread from the dead. My local Toyota dealer has agreed to do a fluid change for me (AH20 3.5), their car computer system connects up fine. The reason for taking it to a dealer rather than DIYing it is that the gearbox oil needs to be at a specific temperature (and therefore volume) to get the levels right. I'll post here when complete (including how much it cost.

Bed Mode ?
Hey. Apologies, my wife is using the car these days and I've always forgotten of an evening. I did remember that this Youtube video shows the different layouts in the 7 seat AH20 really well, including the "bed mode". All the best.

New owner and member needs some advice
There is a cubby hole on your left as you look in the boot. There will be an indent in it to pull it out. Jack and things in there.

Bed Mode ?
The seven seater (with the ottomans) makes two "beds" with the middle and third row seats laid flat. I'll take a pic tomorrow evening for you. Mind you, it's not a proper bed.

Toyota Alphard 350S and Toyota Vellfire 350S
Yes, Advance Insurance - they know about Alphards. I found them much nicer to deal with than Adrian Flux, no pushy selling.

Toyota Alphard 350S and Toyota Vellfire 350S
This gen Alphard is now showing on the Compare the Market website. I don't need to renew until December, but the prices were half that through Advance

L package owners - ISOFix max width?
Hello, I can do this. Is L with the two separate middle seats? If so, the width is terrible for child seats. You can get them in but there is no room (even for a child) to do up the buckle.

Alphard 3.5 insurance in the UK
There is no option for selecting a 3.5 Alphard on the RAC website.

Manual for Alphard 2008
To add to Rojie's comment, Gen 2 manuals are also avaliable from JPNZ (I got mine via Amazon though). We'll worth it. I've not been able to connect my phone to the on board system though.

Parts for Alphard & Vellfire Company
I did earlier this year (idler, tensioner, and some bits and bobs). The person I spoke with was lovely to speak to on the phone: spent a good amount of time making sure I only bought what I needed, popped to the warehouse to check they had the items in stock, and I got the parts the next day π I was worried about them before I got the parts - there was very little feedback about them on the internet.

Alphard 3.5 insurance in the UK
Thanks Rojie, I checked the mega thread but it's focused on 10 series Alphards. I couldn't find useful answers for insuring 3.5 litre Alphards more efficiently than contacting the specialist insurers.
