How do you find a garage to replace rear axle bushes?
Sunny replied to Sunny's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
I actually found a small local garage, they said the job was no problem but it would take them a week. So I had them do all the other little mot jobs and underseal, plus a service and mot. Kissed goodbye to Β£2,000 but at least it was repaired with an mot.....but now the LPG doesn't work.....it's never ending π -

Okay folks, thanking you all kindly for your knowledge, I'm going with the LPG fault, it makes the most sense for an unknown light and will try and book it in with the LPG conversation guy in Newport.... better safe, than sorry when it comes to gas! π£π₯ -

Oh you lucky person, mine is tucked down at the front between the windscreen wash and radiator. And being short I have to stand on tippy toe with a torch to check it..... think it will be safest for everyone if I take it to a garage π -

I've a JLM valve save, which I check regularly, it has plenty of fluid and is dripping nicely. I'm beginning to think it's going to be the LPG as that's the only bit of the van that hasn't caused problems..... I had the lpg serviced last year but seeing as that garage's work in March failed the mot last month I'm now under the impression they botched or not really done the service! I'm going to try another garage. -

My fog light is on the other side, and there is no switch/button just a bright red light. I'm beginning to think it might be to do with the LPG as it's the only thing I haven't had any major problems with ππ -

Yep it's lpg, I'd checked that a couple of weeks ago. I've just had another look, level is fine and it's dripping nicely. π«€ My van has a circular prins button, the red warning light on that is off. -

My fog light switch is on the other side. This is just a light on what looks like a blanking plate. I hadn't noticed it had a little bulb before it shone so bright -
I had the rear axle bushes replaced 2 weeks ago, I've driven 100 miles and everything was fine. This morning I turned ignition on and this light is screaming at me.... all I can find is it's where the suspension adjustment switch would be if I had one.... any ideas before I phone the garage tomorrow, I was hoping to go on my first camping trip next week π«€

Change of driving style
Sunny replied to Michael Brown's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
I always leave my engine running during tea/lunch break stops, mainly because I'm using using the microwave or induction hob. I'm now wondering if it's the reason I'm now having hybrid problems..... -
I recommend contacting autojapspares.co.uk

Warning light identification?
Sunny replied to Sonny King's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
I think it's battery overheating, possibly waterpump problem on inverter. Check fluids and see if any of them are low. -
CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO REPAIR MY HYBRID.
Sunny replied to gary49's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
I have the same problem in Cardiff, nobody will touch it. I sent mine back to Scotland to have the inverter and other bits sorted. Might be worth giving CampervanCo a call/email CampervanCo. 4 Winchester Avenue Denny, Scotland FK6 6QE Telephone number: +44 (0)1324 489211 / 07871 348735 Email: info@campervanco.com -
I always use autojapspares.co.uk 02476474848 for any parts I need, they are a good price with next day delivery.... I usually phone as I'm not confident enough to just order.
-
I would phone autojapspares.co.uk, 02476474848, they are my go to people for everything Alphard, they are cheaper than most places and it's usually next day delivery. Nothing is too much trouble for them
-
I always use autojapspares, they are the quickest and cheaper than most other places....

I've a tribrid and keep to lpg, it rarely use the petrol & yes it would be nice to have a reduced vehicle tax.
-
Have you tried Autojapspares.co.uk Failing that Campers Scotland in Denny. They convert Alphards to campervans they replaced my inverter... took 3 months mind as they had to find the problem and sort it while keeping up with their orders. Best of luck, Sunny
-
autojapspares.co.uk tel 02476474848 I'd get in touch with these people, they've never let me down with any parts
-
The only place I know is Campers Scotland in Denny. It took 3 months to sort my Alphard as they are camper conversion rather than a garage. I've yet to find anyone in South Wales who will even touch it for anything other than mot.

Identifying which hybrid horsepower for parts
Sunny replied to PaulE's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
I never knew that there were different hp's.... I usually phone and the lovely guy on the other end asks questions then sorts everything out.... -
I get that light if I don't turn the ignition on quickly enough when I unlock the van, with mine it is because the Toad alarm doesn't speak Japanese... it then takes a couple of journeys to reset. A pain but worth it for the security

Alphard Hybrid Fuse Box (looking for cig lighter fuse)
Sunny replied to Matt's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hiya Matt, I get all my parts from autojapspares.com in Coventry 024 7647 4848, if they haven't got it in stock they get it usually within the week. Their prices are reasonable and delivery very quick. Lovely guys to chat with on the phone as Lee has a Toyota Alphard himself -
Hiya, I have an Alphard that was already converted to LPG (we only use petrol on the motorway), ours is a small tank where the spare wheel was keeping a full size petrol tank. It saves us a lot of money on the short trips around the city. Although we live in a large city there are only 2 supermarkets on the edge of town that sell LPG and an Autogas dealer 9 miles away. It was great when there was a fuel shortage as we had no problem getting LPG and didn't have to queue at the Autogas dealer.
