  1. I always leave my engine running during tea/lunch break stops, mainly because I'm using using the microwave or induction hob. I'm now wondering if it's the reason I'm now having hybrid problems.....
  2. I recommend contacting autojapspares.co.uk
  3. I think it's battery overheating, possibly waterpump problem on inverter. Check fluids and see if any of them are low.
  4. I have the same problem in Cardiff, nobody will touch it. I sent mine back to Scotland to have the inverter and other bits sorted. Might be worth giving CampervanCo a call/email CampervanCo. 4 Winchester Avenue Denny, Scotland FK6 6QE Telephone number: +44 (0)1324 489211 / 07871 348735 Email: info@campervanco.com
  5. I always use autojapspares.co.uk 02476474848 for any parts I need, they are a good price with next day delivery.... I usually phone as I'm not confident enough to just order.
  6. I would phone autojapspares.co.uk, 02476474848, they are my go to people for everything Alphard, they are cheaper than most places and it's usually next day delivery. Nothing is too much trouble for them
  7. I always use autojapspares, they are the quickest and cheaper than most other places....
  8. I've a tribrid and keep to lpg, it rarely use the petrol & yes it would be nice to have a reduced vehicle tax.
  9. Have you tried Autojapspares.co.uk Failing that Campers Scotland in Denny. They convert Alphards to campervans they replaced my inverter... took 3 months mind as they had to find the problem and sort it while keeping up with their orders. Best of luck, Sunny
  10. autojapspares.co.uk tel 02476474848 I'd get in touch with these people, they've never let me down with any parts
  11. The only place I know is Campers Scotland in Denny. It took 3 months to sort my Alphard as they are camper conversion rather than a garage. I've yet to find anyone in South Wales who will even touch it for anything other than mot.
  12. I never knew that there were different hp's.... I usually phone and the lovely guy on the other end asks questions then sorts everything out....
  13. I get that light if I don't turn the ignition on quickly enough when I unlock the van, with mine it is because the Toad alarm doesn't speak Japanese... it then takes a couple of journeys to reset. A pain but worth it for the security
  14. Hiya Matt, I get all my parts from autojapspares.com in Coventry 024 7647 4848, if they haven't got it in stock they get it usually within the week. Their prices are reasonable and delivery very quick. Lovely guys to chat with on the phone as Lee has a Toyota Alphard himself
  15. Hiya, I have an Alphard that was already converted to LPG (we only use petrol on the motorway), ours is a small tank where the spare wheel was keeping a full size petrol tank. It saves us a lot of money on the short trips around the city. Although we live in a large city there are only 2 supermarkets on the edge of town that sell LPG and an Autogas dealer 9 miles away. It was great when there was a fuel shortage as we had no problem getting LPG and didn't have to queue at the Autogas dealer.
  16. As I'd bought my camper from Campers Scotland in Denny I took it back there for a full habitat and hybrid battery service which was under £200. They had to do extra checks to find out why the battery always looked low but was fine...turned out it was where the dash cam took it's power, ecu reset and fine. They also replace faulty cells £75 each ....before all the world's problems that is. Can't find any garages in Cardiff....
  17. Hiya Taifansi, I have the same warning lights but I can't find a garage in Cardiff that is willing to sort it. They do imports but not hybrid or hybrid not imports.... think I'll take it back to Scotland as they think its those parts also, I've lost faith with the Welsh ☹️
  18. Hiya I'm also looking for a garage, but for different problem. I took my Alphard from South Wales to Scotland to have my battery problem sorted....that turned out to be caused by the dash cam! No garage here could or would even look at it as it was a hybrid or import. Hope you get it sorted
  19. We only use the rock n roll bed. I have a 4 season King size quilt, summer one folded in half to sleep on and an autumn one to go over us. Each quilt is stuffed in a compression sack with 2 pillows, these are then used as floor cushions outside during the day. Hubby also has an electric throw (he gets very cold after chemotherapy) which works when engine running to pre heat his side, or longer if we have hook up. Enjoy your camper.
  20. We'll be there if we ever get out of Scotland, poor van has hybrid issues, no garage in Wales would touch it so we're back where we bought it...enjoying Falkirk on foot 😆
  21. We sure would, we would need a campsite with electric hook-up that would let us use a noisy oxygen concentrator all night and accept delivery of oxygen cylinders! If not guess it'll be travelodge again ☹️ Love to join a convoy.🦆🐖🕷 Would there be anywhere at the meet that I could get a power supply to run hubby's oxygen concentrator? Show & shine would be fun, not that our camper is normally clean or shiny living 50 feet from a railway line for diesel trains and carrying mobility scooter and allotment gear, but happy to give it a go for a laugh.
  22. Hiya, I have an imported Alphard tribrid eco camper. Suddenly it has developed what looks like a battery problem, the 'lego brick' display (yep it's a woman typing) shows the battery charge regularly dropping down to 1 bar, if I switch off engine it requires jump-start, if I let it charge to 3 bars then no problems. I have no warning lights, the battery drops down dramatically when reversing and power delayed if I put my foot down to overtake. Can't find a garage in Cardiff that has diagnostic equipment for Japanese import. Getting desperate as need reliable vehicle to take hubby for chemo.
