  1. Just had a new screen fitted to a 20 series here in Perth had to wait 2 months o Brian glass had to source one from Toyota Japan didn’t have to pay any excess was allowed one free excess screen every renewal year couldn’t find out how much it cost had a problem with rain sensing wipers not working but was soon sorted so all ok now. very difficult to source an after market screen for these vehicles.
  2. Hi sumogogg yes the seats move forward with that front lever and the other lever which is normally blanked out but with the option I talked about before allows seats to be moved from side to side also allowing them to be pushed further Back than would normally be the case due to seats hitting the wheel arches covers. Other2 switches are for reclining seat and raising and lowering leg rest. These are great cars I imported mine direct from the auction in Japan over 2 years ago into Australia where I now live but over in the Uk now visiting family hope that info helps you decide.
  3. Hi have had a GL model with these seats passengers love them especially kids with the electric foot rest and recline I’ve fitted levers so seats can be moved from side to side as Toyota did not fit these to these seats just a blanking plate but cable is fitted just not the lever but can be ordered as a spare part from Japan. Toyota Japan have not given any explanation why these weren’t fitted. only down side to these seats is if your wanting to move a lot of stuff with the rear seats strapped up. I’ve attached a picture of the seat lever fitted not standard in this model with these captains seats’
  4. Like I said works well my alphard must have been modified as it streams from the phone even when the vehicle is in motion so can enjoy catching up with all the news from the Uk streaming GB news live on both screens while out and about also have a FM streamer tuned into a spare FM channel and able to stream BBC sounds and all radio through the original premium sound system didn’t need to change the original head unit which is very good quality and retain all the original steering buttons which you can sometimes loose when fitting after market head units.
  5. Yes it was from AliExpress but I think I’ve seen it on eBay Uk as well this one has HDMI output as well as RCA as most mirror cast have just HDMI only.
  6. Hi i have a mirror cast device with RCA output connected to the vans input sockets you can then steam everything from your mobile to both screens including sat nav youtube that way you can utilise the vans excellent sound system without the expense of changing the head unit with all the cost and loss of some functions that involves mine cost $35 Australian dollars from china works really had it 2years no trouble runs off USB socket.
  7. Yes I fitted one from the front camera along the top wasn’t to bad used a trim removal tool then along where the plastic meets the soft material you have just enough leverage to poke the cable in have a look at the video I’ve posted. hope this helps if it’s uploaded IMG_3726.mov IMG_3726.mov IMG_3726.mov IMG_3726.mov IMG_3726.mov IMG_3726.mov
  8. That’s ok with the exchange rate against the yen pretty good it should be a fair quote I ordered a folding mirror motor for an Elgrand when I had one previous was about £65 from memory plus the courier from these people
  9. Hi Mark i have a 2008 Alphard the parts your after unless you get a second hand mirror from my experience your best solution is to order direct from Japan I’ve used this company there fast and you can search part nos as well good luck.
  10. Hi i have a 2008 Alphard in the original Japanese service book and the translated version it states 65L fuel tank
  11. Hi I’ve got an alphard 2008 in Pearl white it’s the touch up paint original Toyota paint code which is on the passenger side plate code for Pearl white is 070 I’m in Perth Australia but a Toyota dealer in the Uk should be able to supply it once you give them the paint code I’m not sure about aerosol though hope this helps.
  12. Hi you can get the seats to slide from side to side if you remove blanking plate and fit handle as the cable and mechanism is fitted at the factory as with the non captain seats. you have to order parts from Japan which I did and he presto captains seats move back and forth and side to side
  13. Hi jpiech i have a 2008 20 series apart from exterior design changes to rear an front internal features pretty much the same from what I’ve seen also I think from that year they were selling these cars for the first time to Asian markets Malaysia especially with the head units able to be switched to English so unless you particular like the shape of the 30 series and these are still very much in demand in Japan and fetching good prices I would look out for a good low mileage 20 series which have increased in value at Jap auctions as well in recent months.
  14. Hi Babu i used Jap auto agent speak to Paul Bowden charges a flat fee on a sliding scale depending on auction price in Japan very knowledgeable and always secures the best cars he can.
  15. I must apologise about my previous reply full message didn’t open on my phone see you had already contacted Adrian flux surprised there quote was so expensive.
