Thanks will do -
I have 2008 Velfire series 2 ANH120. Been researching radio replacement as I want to maintain usability as all factory fitted components fully working at present. I live on Isle of Wight and Northstar have given me a quote but cannot connect to original video and would need to replace. Mainland company have quoted nearly £3000 plus 2 nights ( hotel stay) whilst they carry out work) and top of range Pioneer latest model. I have now found local company who have been extremely helpful and after listening to our requirements have suggested the above model with new front and connectivity for original video and steering wheel controls but have to replace rear camera. at less than £1500 fitted. we have also requested quotes for a dash cam to be fitted at same time and this quote will follow. Is this the way to go or any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Seating for max luggage
Amicipat replied to Amicipat's topic in Toyota Alphard (08-15) Technical Guides
Hope I have done as advised. I am sure they do not rotate but how close will they go towards front seats to give space behind? -
Hi my 2008 Vellfire is to be used for airport run in December. There will be 5 passengers and luggage. we are having problems working out seat configuration. We have electric front and mid row seats (2) and 2(3) rear seats. I had not realised until now that mid row were less versatile than our old Alphard and had expected to just rotate them back onto front seats and pull rear row forward to facilitate max luggage space. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

We have a 2008 Vellfire and both being hearing impaired we find the constant noise drives us mad when having a conversation or listening to our sat nav. we have to stop and wait for her to finish. We have read somewhere that this can be disconnected and even removed does any one know how as MOT Ddue soon and would like to have them the information so they can do this for us. Thank you

Turning km into miles

I solved this by buying a small plug in unit which shows mph and other useful information. Around £20 from Amazon. -

Thank you it is definitely a Vellfire and unless you need a conversion Northstar usually cannot help I have contacted them with my previous Alphard. -
Original head unit -NHZT-W58G I Do not want to change this unit as I know I will loose functionality elsewhere. However I would dearly love to know how to turn off and keep silent the sat nav. Preferably both sound and picture! But still have the radio and cd work. I have seen instructions how to get English but as I don’t have an English manual do not know where to begin ie settings. I also assume that I cannot purchase a UK SAT NAV CARD which would work? Second does this model have Bluetooth for phone etc. and if so where could I find instructions. lastly where is a recommended place to purchase accessories for a Velfire. many thanks in advance

Considering new purchase
Amicipat replied to Amicipat's topic in Toyota Alphard Club Forum (2002 - 2008)
Thanks for your input. It was not my Alphard that was written off as you rightly acknowledged. The main reason for upgrading is to lower the engine size now that this will be our only vehicle. we had been working our way through the various issues but some are unable to be taken further. The previous UK Owner had replaced radio which we needed to replace with a better one however when the fitter removed it he found all the internal wiring had been removed and only allowed for a very basic replacement and even this does not work well, certainly no sat nav. As I am disabled I hVe both mobility scooter and wheelchair in van as well as 3 small dogs so alphie is absolutely ideal. we are both 76 live on Isle of Wight so am limited with places to do work and can do very little ourselves but we have a great guy on the island selling alphies so we were just hoping for model and spec so that he would have some idea of what to look out for us. -
We have a 2004 3 litre 8 seater Alphard not converted. unhappily on Thursday we were involved in an rtc and our other car is now a write off.seatbelt injuries brokrn ribs but although very painful could have been so much worse. So discussion on what to do. Partner not 100%happy with current Alphard niggly things nothing major just bits not working or not even on our model we never realised there were so many models and specs. But we wanted to exchange for a less powerful engine now this will be our only car. Basic requirements. 2.4 automatic 8 seats double sunroof as much as possible working from dash radio front and rear cameras head unit indicator mirrors parking assistance good set of remotes wood grain cab finishing just for starters so can anyone point me in the direction of which model i should be looking for and the earliest year I will find all this. many rhanks

Not sure where you live but I have just travelled 200 miles to Devon on the off chance and have been rewarded with 2 x 4 button remotes and ignition keys. All I had were 2 keys one remote to unlock front doors and a second remote for sliding doors now I have it all in one with a spare!

4 Button Key Fob Programming of 2007 Alphard
Amicipat replied to Alp's topic in Toyota Alphard Servicing
Links are now out of date is there any more up to date information on the subject of programming extra keys 2004 3 ltre Alphard. Local dealer and Toyota dealership unable to help as are local master locksmiths. Was assumed at purchase this would not be a problem as I am disabled and lack of remote is a major problem -
I have just purchased the above vehicle. I have a couple of problems, firstly, the front cup holder is broken and needs to be completely replaced and secondly, I have been given one remote key and one empty fob along with a manual key, can I get the insides for this fob to work my car? And if so where please. Same with cup holder. many thanks
