Yes, can be charged from there. You can also wire it into the leisure battery system if you know what you’re doing but you can’t charge leisure and vehicle batteries together on the same circuit, each battery has to be isolated from the other.

Car not starting new owner
Montecrist0 replied to Jordancavs's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hi Jordan, when you say there is plenty of life in the battery which battery are you referring to, your problem sounds like a typical low voltage fault on the small 12v lead acid battery between the seats, suggest you check the voltage or give it a charge. These batteries soon run down if the vehicle is not used regularly. -
Hi, just measured mine at 15cm, yours must be super low. I haven’t had any problems grounding yet. 😬

just had a thought, do you mean to leave the engine running? Is that legal in your neck of the woods, it's definitely not here in the UK. Also don't forget the engine starts and stops itself when the battery is fully charged and you can't restart manually when it's in gear.

Don't think that's a good idea!!!!!!!

Alphard Help and Opinion appreciated
Montecrist0 replied to Dat Guy's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hi Brandon, given the mileage and age of the vehicle and that a breakdown would cost you work, I would advise going for a van that could be easily repaired and parts obtained and fitted in Canada. Alphards are a fantastic vehicle but so difficult and expensive to diagnose and repair if faulty. Is the Toyota RAV sold there, would that be big enough? Also, without knowing the market there, 8.5K seems rather high. One other thing to be wary of, as these vehicles are so well finished, beware of clocking. GOOD LUCK! 🚐 -
Had no problems yet but am very wary, helps with 4 wheel drive though. Not interested in winter camping.

Hi, mine has lowered uprated springs with 18" alloys, always wary of flooring but have not yet had a problem. Ride is brilliant! Photo attached.

Hi, it's the drive motor overheating. -
Hi, has anyone successfully fitted a rotating front passenger seat in a hybrid? Thanks

If it pumps water, make it fit! 💪

Front parking sensor

I think you are talking about the towing eye cover, the sensors are round and right on the corner of the front valence. -

Engine or Inverter? Car wont start!

Lambda sensor can be extremely delicately cleaned with a very soft paint brush. Also check wiring and plug/socket. Good Luck! -
The HV battery won't charge when first started it has to warm up to charging temp so if you're just sitting idling it will take about 3 to 7 minutes, depending on ambient temp, before it starts charging. Not too sure about your symptoms though. The HV battery should charge to 80%. If it aint broke don't fix it!!!!! 🔧

Hi there, it's a "hybrid system malfunction" does it still run?
-
Try charging the battery fully, remove the earth cable from the battery, measure the voltage across the battery, then leave it uncoupled for a couple of days and check the voltage again. Ideally the first reading would be about 12.8 volts and the second about 12 - 12.4v if the second reading is under 12v then the battery most likely is on it's way out. If the second reading is good, above 12v, then there may be a drain when connected to the vehicle, (a hidden interior light on, a door switch not operating correctly, etc and don't forget the alarm system will drain the battery quite quickly, 4 or 5 days if not run regularly). Easiest way if it's possible keep the battery topped up every week with a charger if you're not using the vehicle. Good luck! PS you don't need a special stop/start battery. After thought, don't forget to reset the windows after disconnecting the battery.

Thanks for the info, I thought it would fit but nice to be sure. Have you had any problems with your vehicle?

Fuse location for audio 2005 hybrid
Montecrist0 replied to gary49's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hi, they should be fuses 6-acc & 9-ign in the engine compartment, the hybrid also has a fuse box on the tunnel beside the driver's seat. Hope this helps. -
