Selling my 2010 Vellfire as I'm upgrading to a newer Alphard. Warranty and MOT until February 2027. Price - ITRO £8-9k Currently listed on AutoTrader for £9,000 but looking for a quick sale as my new car is due any day now, and my insurance is up for renewal and I don't want to mess around with cancellation or admin fee's for transferring across to a new vehicle. Open to sensible offers. Age, Mileage and condition 2010 with only 83,000 miles. Great condition, electric sliding doors, cream upholstery, with fully fitted carpet covers. Minor stone chips etc. expected of a car this age, but typically in great condition. Body kit fitted by original owner in Japan. Android head unit, reversing camera and rear fog light fitted by the original importer. Currently being used so mileage may increase slightly. Can have car fully valeted before collection. History Full service history. Newly fitted shock absorbers and top mounts (front), recently changed rear tyres and previously had a new gearbox and torque converter (under warranty). Damage 3 out of the 4 alloy wheels need respraying - I can do this prior to purchase, or I can reduce the listing if taken as-is.

No Drive - Urgent Help Please
Evening all, First post, but I've been a member a while as a recent owner of a 2010 2.4l Vellfire. Unfortunately after only 8-weeks of ownership, it broke down whilst my wife was driving, and just dis-engaged drive as she was pulling into supermarket car park - luckily she was clear of the junction and managed to get to a safe spot. The engine was running fine, but when selecting drive or reverse, it would change to D or R on the dashboard, but wouldn't actually engage, and just rev when pressing the accelerator. We had it in to a garage (Japanese car "specialist"), who could not diagnose the issue as there were no fault codes, and didn't want to take on the job (I've struggled with finding anyone who touches imports near where I'm based in East Yorkshire). Speaking to the garage we bought it from they suggested it could be the torque converter and sent a re-conditioned one out. We found a garage to replace the torque converter, and when they did, they found two "locator lugs" had broken off - which explained why it wouldn't engage drive - which was fairly positive that the issue had been diagnosed and resolved. Everything was boxed back up, fluids replaced and ready to go - but even with the new torque converter it won't engage drive. They're getting no faults when plugged into the fault reader - everything is as it should be but it still won't drive. We're supposed to be using it for a long week away on Wednesday evening - which is now very much in jeopardy. Has anyone else had this issue, and is there something simple that needs resetting? The mechanic is a bit lost given the old torque converter was clearly broken - it was replaced, but there are no fault codes and nothing else seems amiss.
