  1. Nice alternative to most, do you have 2 lap belts on the middle row seat as I see it's facing the rear and the side that has the head rest is usually the one that has the full 3point seat belt
  2. Get it checked for the fault code(s), the fault could be a simple fix like an 02 sensor or dirty maff, but there are various reasons why the eml comes on, you could get a scanner off ebay/amazon and check for the codes as long as the scanner has the JOBD protocol
  3. Very handy that they are that close, they are part of the same group as Longlife, you will find you can choose the "sound" and the type of exhaust tip, I got a "sporty sound" and an oval tip on my 3.0L
  4. As already said, BUT if just draining down then you need to measure the amount drained and refill with that amount, only about 4litres drains out as the rest stays in the torque converter, you then need to do a drain down 2 more times to ensure most of the fluid is new= so run around for a week, drain, run another week drain. or pump the full amount of fluid out from the converter
  5. Search for Longlife Exhausts or Powerflo, TIP; as you have the 2.4L you will probably have an extra cat fitted on the mid pipe, this was fitted in japan to conform with the cold start emissions test, it can be done away with as our mot does not do a cold test, So get a system fitted from the main cat back, which is part of the exhaust manifold
  6. Very handy as a shaving mirror when camping
  7. Yes Gen 1 are 6volt. The oem front camera is a split lens it is not 2 separate cameras, I have not seen any replacement split lens cameras for sale. I got my 12v camera off ebay, just got the widest viewing angle I could get. I got a camera that has a threaded mounting point at the rear, similar to the one in the link, I then just checked the polarity of the wires so that I could connect it to my new headunit, then fitted it in place of the oem.. If you still have the split lens and the original headunit then you will need 6v to 12v adapters, off ebay, which are available with 4pin or 24 pin depending on the connectors behind the headunit, If your headunit has been replaced and you have a split lens front camera then it will already have an adapter to go from 12v to 6v. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304354615340
  8. Any double din unit will fit you just have to measure the width, they are fairly easy to fit but to use the steering wheel controls you need an adaptor loom, see Dynamic Sounds Ltd, the exist cameras are 6volt so you need adapters or change them for 12v ones which will be a better quality
  9. Just replace the existing hid lamps with new ones as they will be brighter
  10. Welcome and happy driving. You will be limited to what you can do with the front headlights as any thing that is not factory fitted could be an mot fail, rear lights anything goes so led lights will be OK
  11. The camera button only operates the front camera the reverse camera is operated via the reverse gear switch for the reversing lights
  12. From what I have seen on other forums there is approx 5litres left
  13. There are only 2 fuses, 1 for the LH side and 1 for the RH side so as the fronts work it will not be a fuse. They might have removed the connector on the back of the switches on the doors, although I fail to see why they would want to deactivate the windows,
  14. I think that switch is for lights to illuminate the sliding door step
  15. A C rail can be fitted to any vehicle, there are a couple of possible places for it on an Alphard depending on the size of the rail, flat on to the roof or in the channel that has the black rubber seal in, problem with the straps is they can mark the paint work and they thrum in the wind, the magnetic strips are not very strong and will lift in windy weather, another method are suction limpets
  16. The head unit has a permanent 12v supply to keep the memory settings, the toll card reader is only live when the ignition is on, if a battery voltage goes below 11v the cells will get damaged and it will discharge quickly, a smart charger on Repair Mode might recover it if your lucky
  17. Yes they are standard fitment, most models had 16" but others had 17"
  18. Try white vinegar or warm solution of bicarbonate of soda
  19. It depends on what you want the new one to do, alot of people seem to be going for android units but I have seen on other forums that the cheap ones tend to go wrong. I fitted a Pioneer AVIC-Z620BT it does everything I need it to do, i.e. sat nav, bluetooth, mirroring, 2 camera inputs, only had to get a loom for the steering wheel controls and new cameras for the front & rear, the oem are 6volt.
  20. It will be one of the drain tubes for the rear sunroof it should connect to a part that is on the floor so that the rain drains out under the car, there will be another on the opposite side and you should see the exit point on the chassis. some one may have cut it to clear a blockage but not reconnected it properly, windscreen washer connectors will join it up. There are 2 similar tubes from the front corners of the front sunroof they run down behind the trims on the A pillars. The rear wiper washer tube runs from the pump up the front A pillar then behind the roof lining and then out into the tailgate at high level.
  21. I use a Garmin DC56 on the front and a Garmin DC46 at the rear, they communicate via wi-fi, have voice control for taking a pic or recording a video, I wired them via a small switch fitted in the front dome light so that they can be switched on when in a public car park, footage has been used by the police for a red light jumper so good quality
  22. You need to go to a hybrid specialist such as the ones in the link, others are available if you do a google search, https://www.hybridrepairservice.co.uk
  23. Which bulbs, exterior or interior?
  24. If the Thule is the type that hangs on the tailgate then it will not fit due to the rear spoiler, the only ones that do fit are the ones for vw or merc and even those have to have the top bars modified to miss the spoiler, As for the awning that will depend on what you want to use it for e.g. sleeping in, sitting in, cooking, storage, how many people
