  1. Curtains: https://www.japautosbongos.co.uk/ Front cover: https://fuellagoon.co.uk/ Both of them sell on ebay if you preffer to order from there. You don't need 3rd party conversion company here as they source from them as well 😃
  2. You can have doors unclocked when parked in P, here are the steps 1. Ignition ON 2. Change to P 3. Press and hold door unlock button for about 5 seconds
  3. Most likely 240S DBA-ANH20W... Ask the seller to provide you a picture of the black label(as below) from the passenger door column. Additional label should be also under the bonnet.
  4. Top loading fridge is the way to go for the rear conversion
  5. Mine was fitted by Northstar Conversions and 25 is average combined for my 2.4
  6. Hi Mark, 1. Correct, you will get something around 25. Conversion and the roof doesn't add that much weight to be fair (as far as kitchen units are made from plywood). 2. Have a look on Drivelodge website and their recommended installers. http://drivelodge.co.uk/a-drivelodge-fitter-near-you
  7. Translation to the auction sheet is provided by the carvx... provider of the report. The information on the report itself is coming from Japanese Ministry of Transport + auction. You will see first registration date, inspections date, repair & recall history + details about your auction, when, where, pictures etc.
  8. 3 is usually repair to the body and C is "average" interior condition (may have couple of marks, scratches etc... nothing serious to be fair). If your Alphard is coming from USS auctions you may expect a bit lower grading then car sold on other auctions. Grade 3 on USS could be 3.5 or 4 on others. You can request a report from https://carvx.jp , it will include all car history from Japanese Ministry of Transport including your auction sheet which you can also ask to translate.
  9. OEM part number 17405-20040
  10. VIN number is Japanese, you can find it on passenger door column label and under the bonnet and below is the engine number location(in red)
  11. Sounds like it may be poorly fitted, try to adjust it manually from the outside. There is no English language on Alphard head units however yours seems to be aftermarket as Alphard units are not Kenwood. Get the model number of the unit and google it.
  12. I have 2.4 as well and I think the engine is a bit noiser on E10 (so far I did over 1000 miles on E10). There is definitely a difference and I believe it should be as at the end fuel consistency is different. We could find a lot of pros and cons for each type of the fuel however I'm sure the main question is... is it safe to use or not. Found this video interesting as fuels were tested under heavy load
  13. You won't get far with Toyota UK customer support regarding imports, they have prewritten template to use as in your above example. They don't even know that Alphard engines are also used across different European models and these engines are not manufactured in EU. They are also imported from Japan 😂. It's very clear actually... E10 is not compatible for Toyota Direct Injection engines... and that's the rocket science behind E10 and Toyota engines.
  14. These are the only engines above 2 litres manufactured in EU(Poland) and are available for the whole EU(including UK). Everything else manufactured in EU is below 2litres. Every other engine above 2 litres is imported directly from Japan for the whole EU(including UK).
  15. The only not compatible Toyota engines are engines with direct injection system 1AZ-FSE & 2AZ-FSE. This information is clearly stated on the gov website. 2AZ-FXE and other Alphard engines are used across other EU/UK Toyota cars which make them compatible for E10 🙂
  16. From my understanding 3.5 is also in the latest Alphard/Vellfire series from 2015 onwards. Must be a decent one as Toyota decided to keep it with the current models.
  17. Driving in 3rd gear?
  18. 3.0 is the first generation MH10 up to 2008, 3.5 is the second generation MH20 2008-2015., 2.4 is in both. Timing belt is only on 3.0 MH10 the rest has a chain.
  19. ASF is the front lights auto cornering feature & the OBD socket is just above the brake pedal
  20. Have a look on http://krown.co.uk/uk/krown_application/Rust_treatment_process to see how this should be done properly
  21. Most likely you don't have folding mirror module fitted in as they don't come as standard. Folding mirrors module rely on the main mirror switch(need to be ON), there is no programming involved.
  22. For the folding mirrors module to work the main switch mirror button must be always on
  23. This two options should do, same logic as in Vellfire and Rav4
  24. Most likelly you will need Techstream, toyota software to enable this option.
  25. If you have camper conversion or lpg you could also use Gas Propex heater connected directly to your Butane/Propane bottle. https://propexheatsource.co.uk/type/air I was quoted just under £1500 all in during my conversion.
