  1. Finally my dealer here in Merseyside has fitted a pioneer head unit, which is very good, dab works so well, and the sound system now sounds excellent quality, the orjginal speakers are great after all, Bluetooth for the phones is great, for satnav you connect either android or I phone via cable to mirror the screen, a faff for me so I will stick with my separate expensive garmin unit which sits neatly in the little quarter window to the right of the steering wheel, it sits at a better height and saves taking your eyes off the road, it has lifetime map updates and live full traffic, this has been wired in so it's never moved, The head unit was ordered with a new dashboard facia which matches the original but allows the double din size head unit to fit nice and neatly without fitting a gap filler to hide the gaps, so all good up to date, but they ran out of time at the garage to fit the bits that keep the rear camera and steering wheel controls, as I wanted it back for the weekend, so it has to go back in for a few hours to have this sorted, but to be honest I don't miss these anyways as I found out over the last couple of days of using it, but it will be back in the garage in 2 weeks time for sorting out, getting a garage slot is a nightmare at the moment, backlogs and staff shortages are real problems.
  2. 4 alloys originals in great condition, taken of a very low mileage 2005 model with 50k on the clock, tyres are like new and all same make and spec, no kerbing, see them here on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224659279966?mkevt=1&mkcid=16&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  3. I am based in Merseyside near to you, and am waiting for all the parts and adaptors so my local dealer can do the conversion, fingers crossed, have you had success in your head set change and kept all of any of the steering wheel controls? I have rear and front cameras on my 05 alphard,
  4. Where are you, in Merseyside there is a specialist key shop, he has made me spare keys and the little electronic hands free sensor, 5 keys I have now, too many? Maybe, one is hidden just in case, not cheap, but under half the price of dealer prices, any key, any style, but he needs the car at the shop to program the codes, 20mins while you wait service.
  5. I have just bought a new set of alloys and tyres for my 2005 low mileage (50k) 2005 Alphard, which I just bought a week ago, However the alloys that were removed are in great condition and the tyres are to my shock (and the guys at Wheelbase who took them off) are barely used. they heat shrink wrapped the the 4 alloys to keep them easy to handle, Toyota wheel centre caps are in place, hardly any signs of wear on the tyres or alloys, a few scratches, age related marks but little or very minor, free of kerbing marks, as this is a pristine low mileage vehicle, and well looked after, tyre make and size --- all SEIBERLING, 225/55R17 101V THESE ALLOYS ARE NOW STORED AWAY IN MY GARAGE, AND READY FOR COLLECTION, they can be picked up and placed in a hatch back car without fearing getting oil or dirty marks anywhere, as the wrap is very thick, clean and durable, you can arrange to have them picked up by your chosen courier, but at your own risk, they must weigh around 16-19kg each, and I don't have any boxes for them (I can deliver them up to 25miles away) all 4 wheels will cost the new owner £250 any questions please ask,Cheers, Colin
  6. Yes you guessed, its a new Alphard owner here, we have a little green car named Kermit, and big old Alfie has now joined the family, only bought a few weeks ago from Steve and Sue at Vista road motors in newton le willows, they sold us a Nissan Elgrand some years back but it was the big 3.5 V6 engine one and 15mpg was a bit too much even though we loved the luxury and insane power, Alfie is much more refined inside, more like a Rolls Royce than a Bentley sports, normal stuff to sort out, radio and wheels to of the list, new wheels are sorted, picked and now waiting for fitment day, radio has been ordered, and will be fitted at the garage by Steve, rear seats have been removed and all my kitesurfing and kite foiling gear now live in there, so big and Alfie's super heating system to keep things nice and dry is just so good. early days of ownership, but things are looking good as the miles are very low at 50k verified, and he must have been kept in a garage as everything is like new, even the underbody is still glossy, coil springs shocks and fuel tank are still glossy, just got hold of the owners manual in English, phew! that's needed for sure. He now sits under our extra long car port to keep off the rain and bird droppings,
  7. thanks for the replies Mike and Nov, yesterday a package dropped through my letter box, it was the Alphard owners manual, and I found the door locking section and finally worked it out, just as Nov has said above, and now Pauline is happy again, its interesting that you cant actually deactivate the passenger door lock by simply clicking over the lock button on that door, it remains locked solid, that is until you follow the procedure to reprogram the locks as Nov explains above. I wonder what else there is to find? I only found the switch for the forward facing cameras a few days ago, they are superb once you polish them up with Tcut, but rubbish if left dirty
  8. Please advise on this problem I have with my 2005 Alphard, it is driving my wife mad, she can't open her door until I press the unlocking button on my side, which of course is out of reach for her, being on my door only. many thanks if you have the answer to my Pauline's tutting and huffs and puffs.
