ignition key

Recommended Posts

I have just acquired a 2005 Alphard and love it. However, the van came with only one key which is falling into pieces. Where and how can I get hold of a new key and get it programmed, or if that's not possible can I just get a new shell complete to drop the old guts into. I'd be grateful for any info. Dave.

Hi.I was in the same situation.  Go to keytomycar.co.uk and speak to Paul on 07884 285570 - he's based in Barnstaple.  I'm sure he will know someone up your way.  Good luck.  Patrick

Thanks Patrick, I'll give them a call.

Where are you, in Merseyside there is a specialist key shop, he has made me spare keys and the little electronic hands free sensor, 5 keys I have now, too many? Maybe, one is hidden just in case, not cheap, but under half the price of dealer prices, any key, any style, but he needs the car at the shop to program the codes, 20mins while you wait service.

Hi Colin

I’ve just seen your post from October last year saying that there’s a key shop in Merseyside that can provide new keys. I’ve just collected a 3.0 AWD Alphard from a converter in Scotland and will be making my way home to Wirral in the next day or so. Could you kindly give me the name and address for the shop as I only got one key (plus a remote engine starter?).

Many thanks

Hello Stewart,

The keys are available on ebay.

You need the 4D67 version.

It will need to be cut and programmed to the car.

Replacing the 'guts' may work; but a new key blank is less than 20 pounds.
