Good day to all our Alphard and Vellfire fans!

Not long now before our inaugural Alphard & Vellfire meet on the 2nd of October at British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire!

We felt it was time we made an update here for all those who have registered to the event to get an proper update, questions and answers to the event and just so everyone can be in the loop on what is going on. So please feel free to post here on this thread any questions you may have.

As you may be aware, we are also going to have an unofficial convoy. Basically we are meeting up on either the Southbound Or Northbound services and then a simple convoy to the event. We shall try and take photos.

Here is the details again

Northbound Convoy (meet at 8.30 - 9am depart 9.15 am)
Moto Cherwell Valley (Junction 10 on the m40)

23 Miles to the British Motor Museum

Southbound Convoy (meet at 9am - Depart 9.30 am )

Warwick Services (Birmingham to London side)
4.9 mile to the British Motor Museum

The idea is to meet just before the time mentioned above for a quick pitstop, grab a quick coffee etc. and then proceed to the event venue.

If there are any passengers in the convoy wishing to take pictures and video for the club, then it would be most appreciated if you could send us some. This will attract larger numbers to our future meetings.

For those who do not wish to convoy then simply turn up to the event from 10am at the museum.

The venue is a large museum which has toilets, cafe and a cool museum to look around. You are not obliged to got inside if it's not for you.

Another note would be as it's October, make sure you bring a brolly or raincoat. If you are bringing a brolly please be careful of other members cars when walking about. Hopefully it will be a fine day.

We hope the event is enjoyable and you can get some good insight and meet some like minded friends along the way.

As by popular request we have now club decals, these will be available for everyone FOC.

If you have any questions then please ask.

Thanks
Steve

Is anybody considering staying over either Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd or both?  If so, any suggestions of a good campsite nearby?

i have a new selection of handbooks saving these for the day one of the Japanese specialists who buys the books of me is going to let me have some parts such as filter kits and other bits special prices on the day for members

Hi, I was wondering whether we should sound out someone who does duplicate remote keys to come along. I'm guessing, like me some people only have the one key. I have a non remote key with immobiliser chip that opens and starts the vehicle but would feel more secure if I had a spare remote key. I imagine if you don't have a remote key it could be very expensive to start from scratch. I did once get hold of someone who produced keys but he wanted to set up a meet in a service station & so far I haven't got around to it.

[This is the Guy I was thinking of & he  just happens to be very local - https://www.autolockmaster.co.uk/toyota-alphard/]

Please advise us all what books you will (or hope to) have available for sale.

EDIT BOOK LIST

Hi Alphie, I used autolockmaster last year. Thought he was really good and efficient. Arranged to call in at his home  near Cheltenham en route to Shrewsbury Folk Festival. His contact details are - 07928 398731

Thanks Charlie Brown, will check out that site

Many thanks John31, I hadn't realised quite how local he was to me & the recommendation is very helpful. Ill give him a call independently unless anyone else thinks its a good idea to sound him out for attending the meet.

Great Achievement Steve,

Well done from everyone for all your effort.

Just wondered what the situation was with bringing friends/family along (a relative of mine had expressed interest in coming with me to the event). Are they covered by the member's attendance fee for the meet?

Considering that Alphies hold up to 8 persons, I thought it a worthwhile query!

Sorry if this question has already been asked/answered.

Thank you for your ongoing efforts. Should be a bonanza!
