Hi I'm a new 2007 Alphard owner and I have a question about the rear lights. There are six red lights, one of the inner lights has had a "Heath Robinson " lamp fitted and some extra wiring. The reflector on the other side is blank and there is no aperture for a bulb holder. There is a functioning rear fog light in the cluster. Could anyone tell me why the lights are like this and is there any reason for the additional light. Thanks.

By default the rear fog light does not work as in Japan you do not need them so its added as a extra to pass the registration and mot.

You can however change this and add it in via  the bumper reflectors using the same wiring.

Hi, my name is Michael and I just purched a 3L Alphard from 2008.

Can anyone give me some guidance regarding the reflector in the rear bumper?

Can this be turned into fog lights and if yes where do you get the feed from?
