I got mine from the Toyota dealer near where I live.

They were exactly the same as the existing ones.

I got the numbers off the Toyota EPC site:

https://toyota.epc-data.com

Mines a GGH20 (2nd Generation) by the way.

Here’s a picture of the windscreen wiper part numbers.

I have an AH10 and I found wiper replacements a bit of a challenge too.

The blades on mine were ancient and I didn't like the original frame (super twin style) wipers so wanted to replace with aero ones.  Also my driver's blade was skipping and not clearing the screen properly so just figured they'd seen better days.

I bought Bosch retrofit ones, think 26 and 16 front and also an OE matching type for the rear but found the 26 inch one skipped badly too.  I therefore ended up getting a 24 and that is fine...naturally misses c. 1 inch of screen top and bottom but not that you'd ever notice.

I have however had a brand new Toyota screen fitted since so am curious if the 26 will now wipe properly.  I might give it a go at some point and feed back.

Thanks Roger all help is greatly appreciated

Thanks pipsyp best wishes.

Thank you Steven, all avenues are worth exploring

Thankyou PaulE for your help and advise.

Did some research.

Toyotas OEM Wipers for the alphards used blades provided by nippons blade division called NWB (nippon wiper blades)

For the 10 series, the fronts are 26"(650mm) and 16"(400mm), with rear being 16"(400mm)

For the 20 series, the rear is the same, but the fronts are 30"(750mm)and 14"(350mm)

NWB blades are coded D** (** is the 1st 2 digits of the size in mm, E.g. D75 = 750mm) and the rear is GRB40

The 'D' is their design range that use graphite coated rubber.

You can buy their HDA or HDB range (the frames are identical, but the rubber blade is coated in varying qualities of water repellant material that coats the glass (better performance with frost/snow))

You CAN buy just the rubber inserts (check that your existing blades are the nippons ones, they should have a metal clip/rail that needs to be removed and reused - the rubbers do not come with this metal part)

I bought a set from amazon.co.jp (you can create an account in English)

Search term for 10 series is NWB D65 D40 GRB40
Search term for 20 series is NWB D75 D35 GRB40

You can also buy DENSO, which is a decent OEM used by Toyota.

Their largest blade, unfortunately, is only 700mm(28") so if you have a 20 series, you will have slightly less coverage on drivers side.

DENSO codes are
DU-070R (28") or DUR-065R (26") driver side
DU-040(16") or DU-35(14") passenger side
And DRB-040 rear.

For all these wipers, the passenger and rears are about £8 to £12.
The drivers side, being much larger is about £22 to £26

These are hook fixings, so any cheapo blade of manufacturers wipers will work if you get the sizes right.

The rear blade has a different connector design, so probably best to stick with the NWB or DENSO designs.

Opieoils (linked in a previous post) is very competitive of you are buying the denso blades, but you will be limited to a mac size of 28"

If you still have the original NWB (Nippon) blades fitted, you can save money by buying the rubbers only, from Toyota, or amazon.co.jp

Cheers Chris for the advice, signed up to Amazon Japan, bought the NWB wipers, arrived in 4 days 👍🏻

I'm not a fan of the 'flat' wiper blades and was struggling to find an older-style universal wiper blade at 30" in the UK for my AH20.

Anyhow, I eventually found one on Ebay - it's not quite the full 76cm (says it's 30 inch/750mm) but have ordered one to replace failing existing flat blade/s and will let you all know how I get on, whether it fits etc.;

Hi all Alphard/Vellfire owners.

About two weeks ago I've ordered the wiper blades from Amazon.co.jp

The rear one and front driver side just arrived today. Stil waiting for the passenger side, should arrive by Monday next week. About £52 (£25 for shipping only) so I think it's not bad. 2 weeks awaiting time is also acceptable. Will replace them when the passenger side wiper arrive.

Do you have a link to these on Amazon? Thanks...

For the front ones:

https://amzn.asia/d/1X8kPAj

Just select the length (HD35A - passenger side, HD75A - driver side)

For the rear one:

https://amzn.asia/d/3cxwHA9

And select GRB40

Before ordering you need to make an account on Japanese Amazon ( very easy to do so, you can do it in English).

Hope it helps

Thanks is this the full blade assembly or just the rubber itself?

Would be interested to find out of the HD75A fits and works okay.

It's a full blade assembly.

I will replace them all together when the passenger side wiper arrive and I will share my opinion.

Just to add, you can buy boxes of 10 rubber refills.

When removing the old rubber, you must remove and swap to the new rubber, the two long metal ribs.

At the moment, getting those official rubber refills in packs of 10 requires going via a 3rd party.

I'm still looking at the first effectiveness.

I used amayama to buy a few rubbers for both sides ( kept adding to basket until the postage bumped up, at which point i removed one rubber too get it down to the lowest cost delivery)

Hi Chris

I've been thinking about buying the refills only but, as I'm not sure if they will fit properly (I have some aftermarket blades installed on my Alfie, can't even identify the make/producer) I decided to order a proper one - NWB - for the first change (I have my Alfie since July) and then I'll probably get the refills.

Thanks anyway

Regards

So, the wipers are replaced (passenger side wiper arrived today morning) I tried them and everything seems ok for me. There's a small section left unwiped at the bottom of screen on passenger side (see picture) but it's not really affecting visibility. Will test them properly when some rain arrives (don't need to wait very long for it I bet 😜)
