Hello all we have 2007 Toyota Alphard Vellfire and we both have no knowledge about servicing vehicles, can manage to check oil, top up washer fluid and check tyre pressure, but that is the limit.

We called our local Toyota dealership and asked about servicing the import but they were not interested in helping out, maybe we caught the guy on a bad day.

Anyhow how easy is it to take to a local independent garage for a service, is that something any garage could undertake? Would they have standard items needed for servicing or are special things needed.

I understand that should something break it might need specialist part shipped from Japan, but things like breaks etc are they special.

Thanks in advance for advice and your experience. We are in Norfolk so if anyone knows of any garages around there which could help.

Paul and Helen.

Most parts are available in the UK under other vehicles.  Toyota use their parts globally. Servicing is not an issue at normal garages. Toyota do not want to touch it because it's a import and therefore they don't have a clue.

Thank you for your reply, will contact some local garages.

Toyota Durham will work on Alphard’s and for some jobs they’re actually cheaper than the local specialist (AJ Automedics).

anyone within London/Kent area recommended garage ?

I haven’t got one yet but phoned my local Toyota garage and they said they’d have no trouble servicing one when I get it.

I hope you have found someone to service your Alphard but just in case here are a couple of suggestions. We are buying a conversion from Andy’s

Imports, Honingham, Norfolk.

Andy is very helpful and has mentioned that he uses a garage on the Dereham Road, near Norwich it might be worth a call on 07768933521. I met someone at SLMToyota , Norwich who was having some work done on an Alphard   01603480000.

Looking forward to getting our campervan by Christmas!

Good luck Donm
