Hi there - I saw this and wondered what it could be. Can anyone enlighten me please?

 

 

And I know people will ask about the cable - it's had a crude camper conversion and this is the feed from the engine bay to the leisure battery. Yes the ends have been separately taped (in black and red) and isolated from each other. I have spent the afternoon removing the conversion so I can see what options might work.

It's the temperature sensor for the rear climate control.
