AustinsDad
We recently purchased a 2007 Alphard, and after using it for a while with the AC running I have started to hear a dripping sound coming from the AC unit. Looking underneath there is no water dripping from the AC drain hose, I have check this thoroughly and the hose is completely dry. So I think there is a blockage inside the AC unit, Google says that a good blast with compressed air can clear the blockage and get the water flowing out of the unit again. Has anyone had any experience of this on an Alphard? Just want to check it's not going to damage anything, and whether the problem could be something else. Many thanks. Picasso
sounds the hose may have detached it self from the other end you would have thought there be a damp patch some where
AustinsDad
Turns out it wasn't a dripping sound, but the sound of the heater valve actuator clicking, which is a common failure. Seems to have stopped now though.
PaulE
I reported a clicking noise from the dash area (seems to be from there) a while ago and no one knew what it was - sounds like a demented relay but is sporadic- could this be the heater valve actuator and if so where is it located and how is it fixed? The heater is working fine. I also can hear a low noise, barely audible, sounds like a liquid going through a restricted pipe again apparently from the dash area. I also reported the AC not working, AC gas is ok.
