Hello all members

I'm new member here and I understand you can help me to find what's wrong with my Alphard.

The car done already 123k miles.

After driving the car around 20-30 minutes it's start shaking specially when I'm driving up hill it's can be very bad shaking.

The shaking is only for few seconds and than the car drives okay, however it's can come back after few minutes again.

The car was by 2 mechanic that have a lot of experience with Alphard but unforetunately they couldn't find the problem.

The car doesn't show any warning light and on diagnostic it's doesn't show any fault codes.

The Registration number is GX53ZFV.

If you need more details let me know.

Please try to help me because I'm planing a long drive with it and I can't do it till problem is solved.

Yours Sincerely

Simon

Hi, It sounds like it could be a front wheel bearing/CV joint needs replacing. It could be an intermittant misfire from the engine. a loose wheel/ damaged tyre. It certainly suggests  something around the wheel/transmission/drive shaft area.

Does the noise increase /decrease when going around a bend? is the noise associated with a vibration?

It doesn't make any different while driving in bend.

Only on uphill it's stronger.

if happens under load sounds like inner cv joint ,had same problem .when driven just a few miles was ok on longer trips the vibration got worst when i let off foot pedel it stopped ,drivers side

Hi i had the same problem, the garage i yous said it was  the drive shafts. I got 2 drive shafts of the internet fitted them no more vibration.

I got Drive shafts from J&R trading (UK)Ltd.

I've got a similar problem but I've noticed J&R Trading get terrible reviews. Have the ones your bought been ok ?

I got a quote for £1000 each from Toyota!

I have'd no problem since fitting, J &R Trading delivered parts the next day by DHL courier.

Thanks for the update. My Alphard does not judder until it's done a few miles (warmed up) then the judder starts when accelerating especially up hill (under load)

Yes, same symptoms as mine, the longer you leave it the worse it gets.

I've just had it changed at Toyota this week. I thought the same it might be related to old oil. Unfortunately it's made no difference at all.

Sorry Andy my reply was for the original poster as his shakes and not judders. Lack of Transmission oil will make the car shake

I did respond to your thread earlier.

Update: still vibration judder travelling up hill under load between 20 and 40 mph.

So far I've replaced all tyres. Gear box oil/fluid. New driveshafts.

No difference

As per the almost duplicated post - maybe an ignition coil breaking down under heat / load?

Hi All, having the same issue with our 2005 V6.

Car started getting a wobble/shake/vibration under acceleration/load which couldn't be felt through the steering. We couldn't fix it right away due to time and needing it for work. It then started leaking transmission fluid from the left side inner CV joint oil seal. I have now replaced both the oil seal and CV joint and it hasn't fixed it.

When I took it out for a test drive after the repair, it was still shaking and broke the new oil seal so its now back leaking like before.

This is a really strange fault and i'm at a loss to what's causing it 🫤
