Cornish Moose Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Hi folks, looking for some advice. A couple of days ago my headlight was struck by some debris on the motorway kindly thrown up by the car in front of me and the headlight cover has broken as you can see in the image. I was wondering if it was possible to just replace the cover, as the headlight itself is working fine and I don't want to have to replace the whole unit given some of the prices I saw with my quick google search! If it is replaceable and someone could point me towards a good source of a new cover, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

dezufo Posted March 3 Posted March 3 As said whole headlight, eBay is best, e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/146302066269
John Harrison Posted March 3 Posted March 3 They are expensive new, but you might find a cheaper one by asking one of the Jap Importers? Failing that, there are several Japanese/TOYOTA spares companies, other than using main dealers. Jbhtrams
Gamith Posted March 4 Posted March 4 And you could also do a search for breakers, though my sole experience was someone who wanted to charge the same price for a second hand bit as a new part from Japan.
Graham Albert Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Good afternoon, I am looking for replacement headlamp units due to an advisory on my MOT. my vehicle is 2006 and it's age decolourisation. Thanks for the info that you need to replace the whole unit. I'm reluctant to use ebay as the units advertised there may well be similarly discoloured. Have any of you used a reliable Toyota dealer in Scotland? Thanks and regards Graham
Picasso Posted March 5 Posted March 5 graham polish the head lamps there is lots of products out there that work
Graham Albert Posted Monday at 10:00 AM Posted Monday at 10:00 AM Thanks for that Lee. I have heard of that. Calders Campers have already done this process before we bought the campervan from them. Can the process be done more than once? Cheers Graham
Graham Albert Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Thanks Lee, that's very helpful. Kind regards Graham
