I live on the Isle of Wight and can assure you petrol is the same price as the rest of the UK in supermarket filling stations and slightly more expensive in private filling stations.

if only it were true that it’s cheaper there

I found that when we went to IOW that Sainsburys were two pence cheaper than the mainland. Asda may be more but we didn't want the hassle of trying to get through all that traffic.

Very rare that it’s cheaper you must have caught them on a good day before they put the price up 😀
