FUSES

Featured Replies

As much as I like the Toyota Alphard as I have 2 of them I can't get my head around why toyota in their stupidity put the cab fuses in such a riddiculous hard to reach places'? especially the passenger side which is where the the cigarette lighter fuse is which seems to a common blow fault on these. I've tried several times to get to them but gave up unless I'm missing something?

Packing density, wire lengths or maybe the expectation that fuses will not blow often, if at all.

They managed to place 3 fuse boxs under the bonnet in easy to get to place yet places the other really main ones where even a contortionist would have difficulty . Just add that the brake lights stopped working on one of my Alphards and took some time to figure out the fuse to them is under the drivers side dash behind the drop down drawer.

The cigarette fuse is a 15amp so if it is blowing then it is obviously being overloaded. To access the fuses you have to remove the glove box and lower kick panel, then you have to lie in the foot well and look up and to your left, you will need a torch and a pair of long nose angled pliers
