inside does it have a transponder chip?? some are replacement keys where you swap your old transponder in to the new shell. Some people break their key shell so you can buy replacement shells with blank blades with no chips in them. So best check first
some key companies can clone the transponder without the car present as well

you will see some part numbers here. you can cross reference these numbers. Blue print do some decent disks, i am using them and are great

It was brand new from Halfords so assumed it was fully charged! now sparking happened, fitting was all good! it's not the battery that is the problem, it's the fact I don't have the master key only the 'valet' key - I unfortunately have just had some very unhelpful advice from the recovery people and a couple of auto locksmiths.. hopefully I have someone out tomorrow who is sorting me a master key and all will be good
Maybe worth giving Croma security a call to confirm that is the case. New ECU is not cheap

They are in Winton

I am not 100% but i am sure i read somewhere you have to register the 12v battery to the car.
This video kind of confirms this, same goes for all Toyota and Lexus vehicles

We now have an order page for our club stickers. You can order the stickers using the form below or using this link. We accept PayPal only on this form. if you cannot pay by PayPal then contact us.
The sticker is a external stick (Due to Alphard's having dark tinted windows)

iCarSoft Toyota scanners work a treat and you can see live testing, if you know how to read them.
Did you say you have another code appear since you had the sensors replaced?

Hi Folks .
Had an engine management light on for a while, didn't affect the running of the vehicle 2055 ..
Had it hooked up to a diagnostic and it came up with bank 1 oxygen sensor.
Had both of them replaced recently and a full service, new pads and mot, just got the car back ,seemed to be driving OK, until I overtook a car ,gave it some acceleration and got a bad judder/jumping and lack of power ,pretty dangerous when you've gone for an overtake.
Anybody have any ideas please.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks.
I would of said thats sounds fuel related. But I will assume it did not bring on the EML?
Are you sure the right sensors were fitted? Also as EM Light is not on then its bypassing, mechanical or wrong sensor. since the oxygen sensor output help control engine timing, combustion intervals and air to fuel ration, a faulty sensor can cause the vehicle to run rough.

There are tricks on youtube how to fix but for other toyotas etc., will be the same for the alphard. some do involve the oven or heat guns

Hi and Welcome to the club
Headlight units are sealed, they will need taking apart and re-sealing. You may find a company who could do it.
Only in the summer do they look fine bt will get worse over the winter.
New head lights are expensive, so best to either fix or ignore or buy used (could have same issue) -

Hello Alex,
I travelled to Spain and back frequently for 15 years however not in my camper.
At the time I took insurance from Saga.
They were the only company that offered motor insurance for multiple visits, each of unlimited duration.
The only condition was that my permanent residence was in the UK.
Whether they offer it now, I don't know, as that time the UK was part of the EU !
Makes sense that saga offer this as there will be lots of expats or home owners in spain. Now all depends if Alex is over 50? -

What a great day! So many Alphards with so many tweaks and pimpings! Fascinating. And such lovely people to talk to.
Thank you so much for organising the day.
My only gripe was with the motor museum itself. Foreign cars were few and far between. Is that down to Brexit?
Hi Graeme
I think thats why its called the British Motor Museum

Hi Alex
Not sure if the first trip would have been covered and knowing insurance co's they will wiggle out of anything, they would have taken that opportunity.
Only way is to get 2 ferry tickets one being 6 weeks after. Find a cheap 3am one. No one knows (apart from us here) lol
Smoke testing my Alphard finds a fault I struggled to locate
