Trolley Jack recommendation
I have a low profile trolley jack raising to around 505mm (cost about £123) 2 pairs of axle stands which rise to about 425mm (around £40 for a pair). I don't have a garage, so all of this is for maintenance while parked on the street. You get a feel for how heavy this car is when you jack it up, especially the front - when on all four axel stands and crawling underneath, I just didn't feel absolutely safe! I use a pair of steel ramps (from 25 years ago!) which raises to around 450mm or so, this makes it feel so much more secure. Axle stands being slightly shorter can be a bit of a problem if you are after a level car. I do use the trolley jack to supplement the axle stands as a backup, but personally I do feel the steel ramps feel so much safer, especially when cracking open some bolts that require a bit of tugging. All of this is just my take on it using the above equipment on a residential street, I'm sure stands are safe, I just have an over active imagination probably!

Spark plug location
It was pretty much as you described. Used the opportunity to change the air filter while it was unclipped. It had some bosch iridium plugs already in there from the last owner, 16mm but straightforward to get to once I found the right extension pieces for the socket tool.

Jacking point for rear of Hybrid
I can confirm that black plate on the Hybrid is the jacking point for the rear.

Jacking point for rear of Hybrid
While looking for the rear jacking point to raise both back wheels, I couldnt find a jacking point other than the black steel plate with the holes under as shown in the image. Just checking with others this is the correct area for the trolley jack to raise from. In the image, theres a 'HV' on the area im thinking of.

Spark plug location
Hi everyone, I was looking to see where the coil packs on the Alphard 2.4 hybrid were located, to identify where the spark plugs were. First thought were its under that air filter box, however I thought I'd check with people who have changed them rather than guessing. Regards

New head unit
I can sort of see as a stop gap to gain car play or android auto, but I definitely want to see if the other speakers and oem subwoofer sounds any good. Right now I just need to check out what was done to see if a better implementation can be made.

New head unit
I’ll take a more in depth look at the plugs this weekend when I have some time, in the meantime I just did a Quick Look under the seats to make sure everything seems to be there. Just looks like plugs have been unplugged from the Panasonic. Also included a single picture from behind the current android head unit. Under the drivers seat is the subwoofer. No idea if that’s powered on. Under the passenger seat. Behind head unit. I’ll need to reach in an see what connectors are in there.

New head unit
Interesting Thread. Im also in the position where the car came with a replacement Android screen - so I have no idea what model it came with, Chatgpt seems to think it was 08545‑00R40 I do know it has 18 speakers, amp and subwoofer - im curious to see what can be made to work. Browsing Aliexpress for the MOST box, I see this. Skyfame MOST box . It has different options - Full set free most, Full set Big plug, Full set small plug.. None of this means anything to me! Any advice on which option to go with?

Alphard 12v Battery
Mines also a 2014 hybrid - the previous owner changed the battery for a generic non AGM 12v battery, with no temperature sensor connected. As that battery started to fail it caused warnings about the Hybrid battery needing to be replaced etc. Since changing that out for an OEM S55D23L, everything is fine again - no more warnings. That was a couple of months ago.

Steering wheel shaking and juddering under braking
I had stuck calipers on a VW that had a similar shuddering. The clue was when one of the caliper winding presses took a huge about of effort to wind back. (plus the plastic vw wheel bolt covers melted)

Changing interior bulbs
I couldn't find a definitive video or explanation on YouTube on how to change the interior light bulbs in the car. Apologies if this has been done to death but I couldn't find an explanation on getting to the bulbs. All the bulbs I found below were 12v8w w5w type bulbs. Sunshade mirror vanity lights. Left edge with a nail file or fine screwdriver to push the clip before pulling out the grey assembly with the bulb. Bulb is facing sideways. Pull out bulb and replace. This seemed to be the only one needing the grey assembly to be pulled out. Central lights between sunshades. Prise off the clear plastic starting from the top. You'll see the silhouette on the edge where the plastic holds onto the plastic. Bulb facing you. Pull out and replace. Light next to 2nd row and third row seats. Prise off the clear light reflector from the top using a fine screwdriver or flat spectacles screwdriver. Bulb faces you. Pull out and replace.

Flaky Paint
I have encountered this. Very flaky and a car wash destroyed the roof paint, requiring a respray. Light hand-wash every now and then seems to be the best thing for it.

Investigating wiring to speakers
I took a picture but in all honesty I may not have grabbed the wiring that was deeper inside, so may need to snap another better picture. No canbus on my headunit, just a generic set of connectors as seen on many. The picture below is from the one that was playing up, replacement just had a few more additional connectors for 4G. Steering wheel controls worked. Interesting to see the amount of space under the seat. Kind of looks like I could squeeze a diesel heater there.

Investigating wiring to speakers
More investigation.. Piecing together the capability of this car and I suspect it has a screen mounted on the roof. I can't be sure as its flush and may just be a blanking plate. I'll try and post an image.

Investigating wiring to speakers
As the car had a replacement Android head unit in the ATH20 that wasn't working, I proceeded to swap it for one I had with carplay and looked around to see how it tapped into the speakers. Based on the info from this forum, I counted 17 speakers and a subwoofer under the drivers seat. I see the android head unit plug containing the speaker lines connected to a brown connector which I assume is part of a bypass cable leading to the area under the passenger seat. I haven't gone around testing what speakers emit sound although I have read the subwoofer is not used. I'm curious how the 18 speakers were used in the oem and whether the subwoofer can be reused or connected to the subwoofer output of the Android headunit. I see aliexpress sell large head units. Would these use the full 18 speakers?

Greetings.
Greetings, I feel like I have come full circle, RAV4 20 years ago and now back to Toyota Alphard. Lets see what tweaks I can make with the extra space eh. My days of plastering the frame with sound deadener are most definately over though.
