Catalytic coverer wanted - Alphard 07
Hi . I had put one bottle of that in the tank the day before the MOT. This is because the previous years mot tester struggled to get it passed the emission test. This year he tried a couple of times by revving it hard and then testing it but it just kept failing on the cat emission. Perhaps I should of put more cat cleaner in the tank for longer but at Β£20 a bottle I was reluctant. Thank for advice

Removing rear seat rails / bars
Hi Luke I removed that prominent bit by unbolting the whole black rail and sliding the prominent bit out of the end of the black rail. Then I refixed the rail back down. It was a pain. Perhaps somebody here knows a better way to do it

Question for an auto gearbox expert
My auto experience is very limited. In fact I drove this Alphard around in 3rd gear only for the first couple of months and wondered why it was revving so high on motorways There is a thread on this forum titled β70 MPH = 4000 Revs ?β I shouldn't have reminded anybody about that really because its embarrassing π‘ Ill get my coat

Chewed Lambda Sensor ?
I can get a replacement, but for now I have striped the outer coating to reveal 4 wires that have i wrapped individually with insulating tape. Seems to be working fine. Also the last 2 nights I parked over mouse traps and I put one up on the exhaust pipe next to the damage. Im feeling a little relieved that none of the traps have been sprung . Hopefully this is a one off that happened when I was parked somewhere else. I did just recently spend 2 nights at Silverstone parked behind a restaurant where their bins are. Anyway ill keep monitoring it for a while.

Question for an auto gearbox expert
oil level is good and it looks clean. The gear change bump is very slight and not a problem , I will worry if it starts getting worse.

Question for an auto gearbox expert
On the whole my auto gear change is very smooth on my van. Recently iv started feeling the gear change between 1st & 2nd and 2nd & 3rd when accelerating slowly in the mornings. I don't feel it as much when the engine is warm, and I don't think I felt it as much in the summer. ?
