Also after a decent workshop manual. Specifically engine temp,sensor....
Cheers folks..
As I said, there are none.
What do you need it for ?
Picasso will supply part numbers, if needed.
Just ask him.

Hi there!
Have you attempted to see if it's locked, by NOT having the fob with you when you try to open it?
Otherwise it does sense the fob and allow the rear door to be opened.
Nev makes a very good point
If you do have smart locks, and approach with a key on your person the doors will unlock.
Not all Alphies have a powered tailgate; try the dash switch to check.

Yes it's a powered tailgate
Is it working under power, or just manually ?
There is a fuse for the tailgate motor.
Passenger side, fuse 7, 30A.

We used our Alphard just after Christmas and have now decided to store it for the next two months.
made several enquiries to locate a cover and eventually ordered one from a company their website being www.coveryourcar.co.uk.
It arrived very promptly but it was to small. Made contact with the company who could not have been more helpful. The customer service was first rate. Within a few days a replacement was sent and via email a return label for the first cover.
I would recommend them for a good product (although it has only been on the camper van two days) and excellent customer service.Hello John,

Hi everyone,
I don't know whether these are news to people but I have come across this today: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135474538300 which could mean that if a fuse blows it's a simple reset rather than finding where you have stored them from last time etc.
What do people think?
But will they fit ?
I think you will find early Alphies use micro fuses.
Also many of the fuses are located in very small inaccessible spaces

Aliexpress is a dangerous place as there’s loads of stuff that I absolutely do not need but really can’t help but want lolMine came with these puddle lights. I’m guessing they aren’t stock but cool nonetheless.
It also came with a Flare stowed in the passenger footwell. No idea if they’re even legal over here so a bit apprehensive about that one. I’m pretty sure it can’t be thrown in the bin at least. So I’m just leaving it where it is.
The flare is not legal. I would certainly not carry it.

Appreciate that, yep, I’ve changed it to hybrid in my profile.
Ive charged the battery that’s under the centre console, it had taken a beating as you suggest in the past. I changed it when she bought it a year ago and yes it hadn’t been driven a hell of a lot.
It is a camper conversion and LPG conversion. Both standard fuel tank and LPG were 3/4 full when it broke down.
I’m bothered that it just cut out while driving more than anything, I’d have thought even with a low battery it wouldn’t do that.
Having charged it and recovered it with my optímate it was showing correct voltage when I put it back in but we weren’t getting even a voltage drop turning the key as it just wouldn’t turn over.
Any thoughts on display flickering or fuel relay or fuse under the glove box as common culprits for this sort of symptom?
I don't have a Hybrid so cannot suggest a course of action other than to search the Forum for Inverter issues, and the cooling fans associated with the battery you mention.
My guess is that invertor cooling 'system' should be looked at first.
A simple alternator check (if Hybrids have an alternator), starter battery connections.
How far had she progressed in her journey ?

Hi. My 2007 Alphard has failed its MOT on headlight alignment. Does anyone know how to adjust them?
thanks.
Hello Kevin,
I feel sure that this has been covered in the Forum somewhere.
Have you changed your tyre and/or wheel sizes during the last year ?
I had the same alignment issue, and acquired a printout on the method.
It is a simple process, but you will need a level area, a vertical wall, and a length measuring device for the distant from/to the wall.
Most MOT garages should be able to do this for you in a few minutes.
I'll look for my printout, but doubt I will find it; I have several hobbies and many filing 'systems'.
You could search Chris.ac, as he is expert in electrics.

Hi Folks,
I’m new and trying to help my friend who has a 2007 2.4 Alphard.
She broke down on the way to a funeral, engine cut and she had to pull over. Would not restart.
I’ve checked ECU fuse in engine compartment fuse box, but not yet checked the ECU/airbag fuse under the passenger glove box fuse box. I live a few miles away.
Ive charged the auxiliary battery, get a dashboard full of light but after a few seconds a couple of lights begin to flicker. the fuel gauge does not show anything and flickers, the usual fuel pump ‘ticking noise’ for the LPG unit doesn’t make a noise and the airbag light on the dash sort of flickers as well.
I suspect this fuse and thought might be good idea to change the fuel pump relay (assuming there is one?)
Any pointers to the relay location, suppliers and part number for a new one, and any other similar problems people have already resolved.
Is there a home diagnostic tool I can buy that anyone would recommend. I don’t have a windows laptop only mac.
Thanks for reading
Hello Mat,
Welcome to the Forum.
Is your friend's vehicle a Hybrid, or a camper conversion ?
If a Hybrid you need to change the vehicle in your profile.
If a non-Hybrid, I would be expecting the starter battery needs a very full charge, or even replacing.
Starter batteries take a real 'beating' in the current climate, especially if the vehicle is not driven regularly.
I am unsure what you mean by auxiliary battery.
Techstream is the Toyota tool, but I am unsure whether it runs on a Mac.
Ancel JP700 ? gets a mention too.
Search the forum for (much) more info.

Hiya!
Ive just put a deposit down on a 2005 Alphard, hopefully it will be ready in a week for me to collect.
DVLA is recognising it as a RAV4 when checking CAZ. anyone else experienced this?
Also, has anyone successfully fitted their own curtains?
Get your dealer / seller to sort this (mis-registration) issue. Could be a minefield.

Will a Toyota garage gladly look into imported vehicles ?
A few will, most won't.

Just looking at Alphards / Velfires (and dare I say Elgrands). Have had a Shuttle and Previa in the past and love the practicality.
Currently need a low floor and space for my large dog, transport for larger items, plus seats for Grandchildren.
Learning a lot from this resource.....

Hi all, new member here! So I've had it on my mind since before purchasing my Alphard (nearly 3yrs ago now) that I was going to change the head unit over as I need my music. Still not done it yet though as I've struggled with the amount of info out there regarding if it should or shouldn't be changed due to the hybrid features on the original. I've finally decided I'm not in need of the hybrid info screen so I'm finally ready to take the plunge. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Tesla style head units and also if anyone has found a way of monitoring hybrid features through a third party app or anything?

Hello Rojie
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated.
Yes, not long had the vehicle, a new conversion, leisure battery is new and showing 14 after I plugged in electrical lead to see if topping up as it was below 12 after a drive, which made me think leisure battery not charging via vehicle battery and no display showing when toggled to vehicle battery on control panel?
Thanks
If you bought from a conversion business, take it back and get them to fix it.
Or, at least, call the convertor.
You will have Consumer Rights to support you.
If you bought privately, unfortunately, you will need to resolve the problem yourself.
Although I cannot help you, you have come to the right forum.
I feel sure help will be at hand asa the holiday period is over.

Hello everyone
I have a Toyota Alphard camper van conversion fitted with a Sargent control panel.
The panel is displaying the leisure battery level, but if I switch to vehicle battery level nothing shows up, am now wondering if the split relay is not working between the vehicle and leisure battery if no vehicle level displayed?
Should the vehicle battery level come on the display?
Many thanks
Hello Molly,
Welcome to the Forum.
Is this a problem on a vehicle you have just bought, or a new problem on a vehicle you have had for some time?
Is your starter battery in tip-top condition ?

Hi everyone. I want to refurbish my steering (2010 Vellfire) as the gloss finish on the ‘wood’ areas has started to delaminate. Before I start this project I wanted to know if anyone else has done this, by removing the steering wheel and rubbing the gloss down. I’ve seen a few video on utube and it doesn’t look too difficult. First question I have though, is the ‘wood’ actually wood or a hard plastic? Cheers in advance for any pointers.
I believe mine is plastic, the rest of the 'wood' trim certainly is.

A Christmas Eve update on "CampervanCo" (Campers Scotland Ltd) is that they are still showing as active on Companies House, no receiver in the Gazette, but premises are locked up and staff redundant. However some customers are reporting that "their" vehicles may be advertised for sale (don't pay anything to this company) and two of us now have interim court orders (Interlocutors in Scotland) against the company and they are now with Sheriffs Officers.
Thank you for this update.

Hi Rojie,
Thanks for your thoughts on this, found another post with a way to turn off the lights permanently by disconnecting the door closure sensors. Hopefully this will do the trick. Also going to get the battery tested by the garage we purchased it from, and if it's not holding the charge they'll replace it for us.
Thanks again!
Good approach.
I have another vehicle on which the starting could be marginal; but the vehicle ran OK otherwise.
Eventually, despite knowing the battery was (showing) fully charged I still had charging issues.
I went to Kwik Fit for a (free) battery test; result was a low performing cell but only on cold cranking.
I fitted new battery; result ? No issues.

Agree with Lee.
Try cadence braking until you know the cause and have it rectified.
