  1. I have found a Toyota Estima / Alphard workshop manual, in Russian! Plenty of diagrams, exploded views etc. with torque figures on and with Google Lens to translate it is OK, better than nothing.
  2. I have obtained the Certificate of Conformity, Type approval Certificate, from the Japan Inspection organisation for my 2003 2.4 Hybrid which gives the emissions and a statement to say the vehicle emissions category is equivalent to EURO 4. This and the V5C plus letter has been sent to the DVLA.............. waiting to see if they will update the V5C with the emissions info which is 144g/km CO2
  3. Hybrid vehicles don't require an emissions test for an MOT. You can get a Certificate of Conformity, Type approval Certificate, from Japan Inspection Organisation which will tell you the emissions and that it is equivalent to EURO-4.
  4. Aliexpress sell them as well, around £40. https://www.aliexpress.com/i/1005003560435399.html Just replaced mine as it was noisy, hardest part was removing rusted in fasteners holding the lower wrap around bumper.
  5. Get Techstream to get all the relevant codes and descriptions. Surprised you have a READY light on as that signifies all is well with the HV battery system, normally on the first start the light is not on until the engine has started. P3000 code is a high level fault it just means there is something wrong with the battery or ECU etc. Techstream will dig deeper and pull up specific fault codes, Google Techstream there are cheap kits for sale and YouTube videos on how to run it on a laptop.
  6. What warning lights were on when it shut down? Mine was similar but different codes and related to the HV battery one cell weak, I think P3000 is the generic code for this. Comms is lost with the brake ECU so no regenerative brake function or stability control.
  7. Hi check out YouTube for info on how and where to download and install Techstream, running within a virtual windows XP environment. https://youtu.be/OyBwz3GT2g8 It is an older version but then our Alphards are old. Good luck.
  8. Did any other warning lights come on before the engine cut out? Does the engine actually turn when trying to start it? The inverter, power steering and oil pump (AC powered ) are quite noisy in operation, is this the sound you are hearing? I would get the sensor replaced first and get the codes cleared, if it is still the same then get the inverter checked out. Find someone with Techstream or download it to get the full codes.
  9. Check auto box oil level when hot and top up to the full line, mine does this occasionally on very cold mornings
  10. Could just be your battery has lost its capacity with being discharged with lack of use. There will always be a drain on the battery, alarm, remote locking, head unit etc. The 12v battery is not used for actual starting the engine, just control and monitoring systems.
  11. I just put my 2003 hybrid side camper conversion with lpg on our local council weighbridge today, 2470kg. That is with 1/3 tank of petrol 3/4 lpg, empty fridge, no bedding, a bit of food. V5C gives revenue weight as 2450kg - no room for awning, clothes or wife🤣
  12. Hi, I don't have gas onboard as I have a hybrid and cook using induction hobs. I have a Webasto petrol heater connected to the fuel tank, the unit sits under the cabin floor taking air in from the cabin then the warm air is ducted back into the cabin. It is very good, sounds like a jet engine when starting up, thermostatically controlled we just use it to take the chill off in the evening and morning.
  13. Hi I can answer some of the questions, for 2003 version, 1. Yes both seats can swivel but the center console has been removed aft of the facia panel which has the gear selector and two stowage bins in. 2. Yes 3. The power output from the 110V outlet is limited, 1500W I think, for heating best get a petrol heater installed. 4. I have an induction hob for cooking running off the hybrid battery, no propane installation hassle. For boiling a kettle the engine will startup at least once to recharge the hybrid battery. 12V supply could be an issue if running off the van battery as it is only small as it is not needed to start the engine the hybrid motor does that. I have two leisure batteries fitted, one below the gear selector and one below the drivers seat. I have not had any issues with the hybrid battery not maintaining charge, I do try get out to the shops in it once a week or so, weather permitting. Running for an hour seems excessive as after around 15 mins the engine will cut out when everything is warmed up and battery charged, then will cycle as required.
  14. You can pickup the feed from the rear camera from a connector in front of the passenger seat next to the center console at floor level. Red and white video, black 6V power to camera and shield, this will save you a few ££'s. If you need a 12v trigger for the HU the loom in the passenger foot step has the thin red/white feed to the reversing lights, there are several red/white wires in the loom so a bit of work with a meter and sharp pin is required. The front camera I have yet to investigate where the feed comes into the cabin.
  15. Hi, with the roof down you have about an inch gap between the roof and bed boards, as you can only stack the boards two high and close the roof on our conversion. The hollows in the rock and roll bed we fill with either a towel or small pillows and use a cellular blanket at present but have just purchased a couple of lightweight blow up sleeping mats to try.
