  1. Hi Roger, It's the gen 2 2011 2.4 I am begining to suspect the chip does alter the fuel consumption from km/l to miles/l wont know until ive done a few more miles and filled up again. Its had genuine parts -new plugs, oil, filters and a cleaned out pcv valve. Next will be to clean mass air flow thingy. At £2.00 a litre trying hard to use as little as possible:)
  2. While i remember, My Alphard had the chip added to get MPH and its as accurate as a garmin GPS. I'm only on my second tank of Fuel, I have been using E5 for now. what i'm not sure about is the readout for miles /litre or km/litre i dont know if the chip alters that reading, best it was showing being carefull long run 8.4km/l ( 7.3km/l shorter runs) if the chip alters that to miles per litre its not that bad approx 30mpg is fine for me if it still reads km/l = not great! will know more when used the secong tank of fuel
  3. I have a 2011 Alphard Singapore import, came with an android unit and rear camera Unfortunately someone stole the cd/dvd / tv/ radio that were in the glovebox somewhere on route! Car was fitted with a four camera system though only a seperate new rear is working with the head unit (poor picture) I'm still trying to figure out how the unit functions:) I think it needs data from a phone. I want to upgrade when funds allow and the best advice so far has come from youtube "saab unleashed" reviews the latest n greatest available some units even physically remove the heater/aircon controls and control via tablet.(not my preference)
  4. Hi, I'm in need of a pair of struts for ANH20R manual rear door, I tried sgs engineering but couldnt find the strut dia (guess 12mm) plus need bespoke brackets on ends. only place I could find something that might fit was Amazon at £93 Please could I have a link to your purchase site.
  5. Thule bars and feet arn't a problem but getting hold of the fixing kit ie brackets to body are now discontinued! (For ANH20 cars) I found a couple of sites advertise them only to be refunded straight away, yet they still continue to advertise them! Pre 2008 car roof racks appear on ebay from time to time I'm having a similar problem getting a towbar bar having one bespoke made, I'm hoping someone might start importing or cross reference a compatible one.
  6. good video on tube "tc's anything goes" on this
  7. Hi, what mileage did your Vellfire have on it to need engine mount change? Did you buy the genuine parts from Toyota dealership? or a factors? Thanks
  8. Hi, where did you find the ideal locking nuts? Thanks.
  9. HI, have come across something similar to these on u tube, does both red fog light and white reversing light on same unit.
  10. Hi, Please may I ask a quick question regarding rear doors? I have a gen 2 Alphard on order, it won't be with me for a couple of months though doing quite a bit of homework while i wait:) The one I have ordered has two electric rear doors, I wasnt really after electric doors as just something to go wrong, though web says better with them. Can the doors be operated if the motors fail or what happens when the doors are switched off are you opening against a motor. Quite a bit on u tube about repairs of motors but cant find anything on operation without power. Thanks
  11. Hi, I have been in contact with https://www.watling-towbars.co.uk/import_vehicle_towbars.html I contemplated an import with a towbar already on but hitch was missing -they could manufature one to suit. (it sold before i viewed it) Had a very quick reply and more advice regarding towbars and LPG.( Doesnt really recommend both together!) Ive got quite a wait for my gen 2 Alphard to arrive and will also like a towbar- though mainly for bikes, plus would like LPG at somepoint in the future perhaps thats the wrong way round! There was another firm Exeter way that I'll try to find again. I also want a roof rack but thats proving a bit harder to find.
