  1. Hello all. I'm hoping some of you here would have had some experience with roof/seal leaks on these motors. I have a 2007 3L V6 alphard which was fine and leak free (have had it in Skye in worse conditions back in September). I went further north last weekend and it was rather rainy as you could imagine. Slept in the van overnight and in the morning it was much damper than usual. I noticed the roof liner where the A pillar is had quite a large damp patch on both the passenger and driver sides. I drove 3 hours back home with the heater and AC on full, which dried the liner out completely. Today I went out to use the van after sitting for a week and noticed another damp patch. Seems to be happening on the passenger side only this time, but the driver side is dry this time. Any ideas would be appreciated. Is this common? Where should I be looking to try fix this? By the looks of my picture, I am not sure if it is coming from inside the pillar, or if it's above the passenger door and running downwards. Picture attached! Thanks a lot EDIT: My alphard is the one with the sunroof and moon roof, but I doubt this is anything to do with the sunroof because it is happening so far from it?
  2. AFS on my 2007 3L MS spec definitely works. Country roads highlight it best. Turning round a corner, then letting go of the wheel to let it correct itself will show it clearly. You can see the beam of light actually moving back to a straight position. I also noticed that when you turn on the lights, they appear dim, then brighten within a few seconds. I always thought that was just the type of bulb warming up yknow? But it may well be the AFS system doing a self-check. I'll have to stand outside the vehicle and get my partner to turn them on while I watch. She can't even notice AFS working on the country roads, but to me it's clear they are indeed operating normally!
  3. Keeping an eye on this one as I'm also not far from North Berwick with a 3L Alphie. My local mechanic will work on my Alphard, but would be good to know of any specialists for trickier issues that may arise.
  4. This is an old topic from 3 years ago, but does anyone have any seat cover recommendations for the 8 seater? In an ideal world, I'd buy the clazzio et-0261 in beige, but can't find anywhere to source them in the UK
  5. I would personally recommend Mark Richards (Japcover) - I used them recently for my new alphard and they beat everyone else on quotes (got 550/yr). Adrian Flux couldn't compete as I tried them too.
  6. How did you get on with this one @Michael Brown? I have just got an Alphard and about to switch a seemingly weak battery for a new one. Worried that the auto doors/windows and god knows what else will stop working.
