Japanese after market alarm removal. help required

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Im trying to remove a Japanese aftermarket alarm system, from my web searches it looks like  a "Carmate super barracuda" system it had what looked like a remote start box, plus other ancillaries, i've managed to remove all the ancilliries but have now come to a halt with this SQ3000 unit, when i remove the plug i cannot start the car, so assuming its the immobilizer unit as well. i am looking to have a Cat1 alarm fitted so would like it gone. can anyone point me in the right direction to removing it please. alp2.thumb.jpg.451f024b0134849d352d5db49acefad4.jpgalp1.thumb.jpg.7b21c082cde7913272e406af2191dfdf.jpg

from your facebook post. I think it's tied to the immobiliser. I would check the wiring and see where else it goes tbh.

Send some pic's of the wiring connections to the barrel and if any in the engine bay.
