This is a great idea, I am a member of the Elgrand forum and they have both small and large get togethers. It is all part of being on the forum, meeting up and putting names to faces. Also it would be good for potential new members to look around the Alphards and ask questions face to face. If there are any trade stands even better. Very interested in this. Thanks Gruf.

Hi all,

I definitely be interested in the meet up. Would be travelling from Liverpool in my 57 plate V6 and would be great to see so many of these brilliant Japanese vans in one place.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi all. Yes I would be interested in a meet. Would also be interested in a convoy. I live not to far from Beaconsfield services on the M40. Possibly a good place to start from.

Hi , yes we would be interested in coming along, but would depend on the dates. We would be travelling down from Scotland, but could tie it in with other holiday plans.

we have only had our Alphard about 8 months, so this would give us an opportunity to speak to other owners, and learn a few more things about our wonderful car. Might be interested in the show and shine, not sure about the convoy at this stage, but would have a think about it.

Hi Guys & Gals

I have been thinking about setting up a large meet for Alphard and Vellfire owners. I have quite a bit of experience with car meets and think it will be a good idea to gauge the interest here.

So here are some ideas i have, please feel free to have some input.

Location

I have run many of a meet at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, I am going to be contacting them as it's been a number of years since i have run 100+ vehicle car meets there. They have changed slightly. The reason for this location is that it's on the M40, located between London and Birmingham, accessible from the south west, South east, midlands and east of the country as the motorway makes it a very easy location.

Pre-meet

Idea of running a small convoy from one of the service stations on the M40 both sides of the motorway (coming in london side and also birminham side) in to the event, which should make a cool impact and great photo opportunity.

Museum

Access to the museum (at a reduced cost price) and cafe area.

Show and Shine

Possibly look at show and shine competition for the most shiniest Alphard inside and out. Opportunity to win an award

Meet up with the community

As this will be our first event in this club, it would be great to meet other like-minded owners, get insight and talk all about each others Alphard.

Campsite Invade (idea from Oldwellhouse)

Mass Alphard Camper pitch-up before or after the event for those who have campers (i guess Tents would also be good too)

So the main question is

1. Would you be interested in attending a meet near Warwickshire in September?

2. Do you have any ideas that could improve the meet?

3. Would joining a convoy in interest you?

4. Does show and shine competition interest you?

Look forward to your comments.

Hi, Yes i'd be interested in attending, but not bothered about convoy or show & shine. Most interested in discussing issues and cures, conversions etc..

Will depend on date. Cheers John

We would love a meet, however September is no good for us as we will be In Spain.  Maybe the next one!  Good luck with this one.

We’ve had our 3L Alphard camper conversion for a month now, and would certainly be interested in a meet up with other owners!

Yes,I would be interested in joining a day with other Alphard owners and would be great to talk to other owners about their Alphards.A convoy would be fun and being able to camp would be an advantage as travelling from the North. Try as I may to keep the interior tidy it never seems to happen so exterior inspections welcome.

Yes I would be interested in a meet up! Love to meet other Alphard camper owners 👍. Dates/work commitments allowing. Convoy sounds ace, camping before or after excellent idea. Don't think I'd be in the running for shiny award 🤣

Great response here. We are enquiring with dates with the National Motor Museum to see what there is available.

Yes, very much up for this! Vellfire  owner since last December so still lots to learn.

Trade stands may be a good idea, its not so far for New Acre Cars?

Based in Lydney so could meet up with South West, South Wales and Bristol owners at Gloucester Services? Could then run up together?

Sounds like a good idea! Would be interested and I guess there are lots of camper conversions so an overnight stop over somewhere close would be great.

Hi,

My wife and I would certainly be interested in meeting with other Alphard owners, having bought our 2003 Hybrid with a view to a camper van conversion. Not done much work on it yet, but would be very interested to see what others have done and exchange ideas.

FYI:  the next Overland Show in Stratford-upon-Available n is 17/18th September- It would be a really good place to meet up.  If you haven't been it’s really good. Live music, good food, incredible overland vehicles / camper vans.  FYI:  I am not connected with it, but just live near it.  https://adventure-overland-show.com

Looks like pre-event camping  is circa £10 a night, and during the 2 day weekend event , about £50 to £75+ depending on the number of people.

Great idea, we would love to come.

We would like to camp and as we are on the Isle of Wight it would make sense to make a long weekend of it. So many Alphards on the island maybe do one down here next year.

Late to the party, but would definitely be up for this. Currently looking for a house in Warwickshire so thumbs up here.
