  1. Wow! We paid £7000 for ours in April 22, used it driving home lights all came on and been off the road since……we don’t know when it will be back up and running. Thinking of selling it as it is.
  2. We have not been able to use ours 2 years in April, the hybrid expert we have used lives in Exeter and is called Mark too. Maybe the same guy? He has swapped our inverter a couple of times…..for second hand ones…..we are desperate to be able to use it!!
  3. I was advised not to drive. Does yours drive ok. Mine is fine driving but I have lights on the dash! Who is repairing your Alphard?
  4. I’ve had this problem since April last year when we bought ours. We have had Mark from Exeter trying to repair it, he has changed the inverter with second hand inverters, he’s serviced my hybrid battery. Just waiting for him to come and try something else. I think Mark services the batteries for the camper company in Scotland.
  5. The Prius is the same. My hybrid mechanic replaced ours with one.
  6. Have you had a diagnostic check with code and sub codes? We have a problem with our inverter and the hybrid specialist we use checked it with his computer. On the Facebook hybrid Alphard group someone repaired his own inverter, did research and tackled it. I wouldn’t be able to so we asked someone who services hybrid batteries. Good luck and let us know the outcome.
  7. Speak to Mark at Hybrid specialists in Exeter, he services batteries. 07307893333
  8. Thank you but I think that Mark services their batteries.
  9. After months of trying to sort the inverter problem P3125, Mark (hybrid specialists) found an inverter that seemed fine but the diagnostic threw up a P3009 voltage leak…..so out came the hybrid battery to be serviced. Put back in and another problem. Out came the hybrid battery again and found a module to be faulty, changed it and the battery went back in. Starts, sounds lovely but after a few moments up comes the red car and VSC light. Fault P3125 P3000. Drove it round the block and drives fine, but those lights are still on. It shows four wheel drive working, and battery went from 2 bars to 3. I think Mark has decided that 11 months of trying to sort this car for us is enough…. Any idea, help or where we can take it to try and get it sorted?
  10. When that happened to mine I then had a VSC light come on and another one it indicated hybrid fault. I managed to find a hybrid specialist who put his diagnostic machine on and it proved to be an inverter fault. He located a second hand inverter and has the battery out to service it. I am hoping it will be up and running today, after he puts it all back together. I hope you get yours sorted.
  11. I received the information from DVSA after writing to them about it!…….. as follows “ There are legitimate reasons why an odometer could record a lower mileage than previously. It does not necessarily follow that a lower mileage means a vehicle has been 'clocked'. If the speedometer (which is a legal requirement) is replaced the odometer part of it can quite legitimately show "zero" if it is new or whatever mileage was on it when removed if it is a second hand part. An offence may be committed however if that mileage recording is knowingly misrepresented to a potential purchaser as the vehicle's true mileage. That would be a matter for Trading Standards to take forward. Since the introduction of MOT computerisation in 2005 the database has been steadily building, recording the mileage recordings at each annual test. It is access to this data that allows DVSA and the MOT scheme to play a part in combatting mileage fraud. By accessing the vehicle's MOT test history you can establish an obvious anomaly with the odometer reading on a car. Being in possession of this knowledge allows any potential purchaser to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the purchase. If the purchase went ahead on the basis of the lower mileage being misrepresented as true, then that would be illegal. The MOT computer system cannot be programmed to prevent the issue of a certificate if a lower mileage is recorded, as this could easily be legal and there are no lawful powers to refuse a certificate in these circumstances. By making mileage data publicly available DVSA has given consumers the ability to challenge vendors and negotiate a better deal, or to report wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities.“
  12. I bought my Alphard in April from an ‘importing dealer’ in Birmingham. Had problems getting home with the inverter. He suddenly wasn’t an importer but would help if it needed work. It needed a reconditioned inverter, cooling pump and new 12v battery. It’s now having the hybrid battery balanced. It has been off the road since we arrived home in April. I bought a copy of the cx report and found the odometer was way wrong and stuck. I found out that providing you are told, it is allowed to turn the odometer back! I am hoping my car will be running in the next week or so.
  13. I have a 2006 hybrid that is also stuck at 82033. Have you the Japanese sales sheet? Was the odometer reading the same then? I bought my copy and found the car had been turned back! I wonder if they broke it turning it back? Should have been a higher reading.
  14. I bought a battery from E-hybrid at £199.99 it was a genuine Toyota battery. Same code as yours. No problems with it.
  15. We have tried second hand inverters but not worked. Our hybrid specialist has another to try. We changed the cooling water pump. It’s an ongoing project for us at the moment!
  16. We would love a meet, however September is no good for us as we will be In Spain. Maybe the next one! Good luck with this one.
  17. Where did you get your key cut? Was it a specialist or your corner Timpsons?
  18. Do you have a manual? I bought mine on Amazon, there are 2 one is Hybrid and Petrol 2002-2008. Find it very useful. Cost about £28
  19. When you say the hybrid stopped working, did the car stop running? I have been told that the car is useless if the hybrid doesn’t work. I’m interested to know if it means replacing the hybrid battery and/or the inverter. How have you fared after these lights have come on?
  20. It’s the 12volt battery! It’s between the front seats under the centre console, not sure how to access.
  21. I just bought the same Toyota battery made by Panasonic from E Hybrid…£199.99
  22. Does anyone have a video of accessing and swapping the battery? I have a genuine Toyota battery coming but can pull back the centre console, but how do I take the rest apart?
