Swivel Seat Fitting

Recommended Posts

Hi all

i am new to this alphard/ camper game, so be gentle with me!

after buying our Alphard the wife and i decided that we would like the front passenger seat to be able to swivel to create a bit more space when relaxing with the dogs.

I found an alphard swivel plate on hte internet and ordered it - al delivered, looks like one i have see in a video so all good.

Cracked out the spanners, popped off the plastic cowling and removed the seat with the 14mm bolts, then fiited the plate. All good except when i come to bolt the seat to the plate the front bracket that bends down at 90 degrees with a large pin in it is in the way. The pin (photo attached) doesnt have a nut or a slot for removeal and i am completly stumpped.

I am sure the front bracket needs removing, the back bracket has simular smaller bolts(?) but i dont think they have to come off, but the fronts......

Any ideas would be gratfully received!

You might need to take all the cowling off the seat. Slide the seat all the ways forward and there should be some runner bolts to undo.

It's been so long I've forgotten how I did it last time I had one.
