You may need to bleed air out of the cooling system.

There is a method buried somewhere in this forum.

Or possibly the heater flap valve is faulty, again covered n the forum.

Is your thermostat stuck open ?

No real pressure in the coolant system can open rad cap after a run and no bubbling or excessively hot so don't know if thats another issue or connected

Here's how I bleed the system, Put the front end of the vehicle facing uphill, run the engine so the temp gets up, (with rad cap off).
then keep squeezing the top rad pip and run the internal heating on full blast (hot as you can) on intake not circular, and eventually the air lock will go.

No joy ,just driving with hat and gloves on now 🤣

Need to find a mechanic to fit new radiator and look at the heater ....any recommendations in the north west

I have had a similiar problem. I thought a fuse had gone and they are a devil to get to behind the glove box. Someone suggested checkng the radiator fluids, so I did and put in a litre and a half. Heater started working. I now carry radiator coolant to top up should the heater fail again
