Hillclimber Posted Tuesday at 10:47 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:47 AM Now that the Alphard is running, a family visit is in the offing, so looking for recommendations for a suitable campsite/stopover near Ripon for this coming Saturday night. Reasonable fcailities would be great in case things don't work as expected!
Peter H Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM Hi, you could try Sleningford Watermill caravan and camping park at Ripon. They have electric and non electric pitches. It's the only one in the area I've stopped at so can't really recommend any others in the area.
BigNev Posted Tuesday at 09:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:34 PM Hi there! Have you heard of the "searchforsites" app? Our friends use it, and recommended it to us when we borrowed their motorhome to tour the Highlands in 2023, then Europe in 2024. Seems great to us, you can tailor the results for what facilities you want on a site, or don't! To get full function it is a paid for app, but it's only £7.99 for the year.
Hillclimber Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago Hi Bignev, yes I tried it as well as park4night, campinguk and all the camp related club sites. Just surprised as how busy that area is this weekend.

Realising now that we won't be camping this weekend. Duh!
