Door unlock switch on door alphard 2007

Featured Replies

Hi there,Any guidance here would be appreciated please.

Toyota Alphard 2.4 2007 petrol auto on the drivers door there is a switch that locks doors shortly after driving away and press switch then to unlock passenger and rear doors.

I had a car main battery that was starting to not hold charge and switch during this time was playing up as in sometimes worked sometimes didn't.

I am not sure if this was coincidence or not.Maybe nothing related.

Battery has since been replaced but door switch now not working at all so to open passenger/rear doors like picking up a passenger whist driving I have to stop engine and unlock with key fob as switch on door will not open doors now as it should.

As in from outside van passenger and rear doors can only be unlocked via key.

When using key fob all working well but is a nuisance as I have to switch off car engine use key to unlock to allow passenger door to open then restart engine etc

Any advice on how to make good here please.

There is nothing happens from door switch almost like no power at switch yet remote key locks all as unlocks al as it should.

Not sure if there is a reset procedure or a fuse that you can point me in the direction of here please.

If I need to replace switch does anyone know part or where to go please.

Or where the fuse is on the van.

Switch on door is as shown top right off control on photo.

Thanks in advance

Brian

I had issues re door locks & window operation with my ‘02 2.4, someone on here advised hold down either wind switch or door lock switch on front passenger door as a reset, it worked!

I’ll search my post & see if I can find info.

Rojie posted this a while ago, worth a try.

From memory you just lower each window, using the switch in the door for that window (not the drivers door switches).

Down and up, possibly a couple of times each.

Hi Gordon

Tried this but still no luck, but thanks for your efforts anyway.

Windows all working ok but just the door switch to unlock is the issue.

Tried all windows incl driver then tried all windows excluding driver window.

Also tried after window down hold switch down for 5seconds then Windows up and again held for 5 seconds and repeated same for each window.

Nothing happens when pressing the switch on door no clicks or clunks as was before.

Almost like no power at switch.

Might have to get garage involved again.

That procedure is for resetting the electric window switches on the drivers door, I don't think it does anything to the locks.

Thank you

You could try a reset as per the pic. Look on eBay or Amazon for an owners manual, it has loads of useful info
