Aftermarket systems are out there

pivot make a aftermarket cruise control and I imagine that they make a

starter motor as well!

I know the genuine  starter can be programmed in with a good diagnostic programmer!

I have a keyless remote start remote that came with the Alphard MZ G that I bought at auction in Japan. I imported it to Vancouver, Canada.

The keyless remote start, which has a pull out aerial, works flawlessly but you have to be within twenty feet. Nice for cold days.

I am doing a camper conversion on mine, it's not so easy over here. You have all the good stuff over there. I know, I've been buying lots of stuff out of the UK.

I live in mountain country here and with the all wheel drive with adjustable suspension this vehicle is pretty capable off road/ soft road.

Just purchased a MZ 2006 with the same areal starter. I have pressed the Ii key and the engine shows off with communication to the vehicle. Can you tell me the key press sequence, are there any other required conditions to make it start.

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy,

You've probably figured it out by now, but for the benefit of others who might need to know:

On your black fob with the pull out radio, you have 4 buttons:

Padlock Locked 🔒

Padlock Open 🔓

E (orange button)

To remote start:

Press E, then press Padlock Locked 🔒. If you look below the Paddlock buttons, there is Start and Stop written into black plastic.

The vehicle should now start. If you open a door, the engine switches itself off automatically.

To remote switch of the engine:

Press E, then press Padlock open 🔓

The Padlock keys will remote lock and unlock your doors if you do not press the E button first.

This function is so good on cold mornings - your car warms up and melts the ice on the windscreen whilst you have your breakfast.

Have fun,

Luke
