  1. Thank you. I think the glass is cracked rather than smashed. So may be able to do a repair. I think half the glass has fallen into the wing mirror casing.
  2. Hello. A little clip from a van mirror has smashed the little led indicator strip on my off side wing mirror. The led's still work. Just the plastic is smashed. Any thoughts on how I replace this? Suggestions and advice appreciated
  3. Thanks for the input. I will look into the battery this week.
  4. Thanks geralt. This is with the engine off. It's a possibility as the car is not driven daily. I wondered if the battery might be a little weak. Thanks for the input. Sam
  5. Is this a common issue? Cold wet weather causing slow electric doors and sunroof and remote key not always unlocking slider door. I've lubricated cables and runners. Has improved marginally. Thoughts appreciated.
  6. This sounds interesting. Do you have your back seats folded to the windows? Do you have a bed platform or use the seats as they are?
  7. Hello all. I've been pondering how to make my alphard into a comfortable camper without removing the rear seats. I've seen these custom galley boxes with fold out bed slats. but the majority require you to remove seats. I need to be able to swap back and fourth. The seats are comfortable all laid out, but I want maximise the storage in the back. Has anyone solved this problem? I've explored laying a futon frame on top of the seats with a mattress on top. Just leveling out with smaller cushions. I want to maximise storage for cool box, stove etc. And have a comfortable bed. I'm thinking just frame out a box between the folded seats in the back with sheets of ply that rest on the folded middle row. Suggestions ideas thoughts, measurements, photos etc. Would be much appreciated. Sam
  8. Hello, what is this frame that you speak of? Could you post some pics. I want to try and level out my bed without the need for cushions.
  9. I haven't tried manually actually. It's only intermittent on the auto.
  10. My sliding doors have taken to stopping half way ever now and again. I'm thinking this needs a reset. Following a flat battery the windows were doing the same. I managed to reset them. Any thoughts?
  11. When the fuel indicator goes orange, how much fuel/ miles are left. Anyone pinned it down? Thanks in advance.
  12. I had my heating working on high setting today. Plenty of warm air. It sounded as though the blower was turning on and off. Is this normal, or an issue. Might it go hand in hand with the strange noises I've been hearing behind the dash, which j believe is a worn heat flap actuator. The heating and aircon all work fine. Thank you for people comments so far. This forum has been a god send. Any thoughts?
  13. Thank you. I'm told by the garage that it might be debris that has been sucked in the vent and that it will clear. How likely is this?
  14. Thanks for this response. It's a mixture of clicks and whirring. Could there debris in the vent?
  15. Today Ive heard a strange clicking electronic sound behind the dash. Like a stuck fan or switch. It makes a sound both when engine is running and when switched off. Anybody have an idea what this is and how to stop it. I had a new pioneer head unit fitted when I bought the car. Could it be this. Any thoughts would be helpful..
  16. This was incredibly useful when I bought my alphard 2 months ago. I used it as a check list at the dealers. Fortunately all the boxes were ticked. But so good to have in hand. Thanks.
  17. Hi. After heavy rain last night, I had water poor from the door pillar lining. I realise it's likely blocked drain holes. How do I get to them. Can't even see them. Also. Where are the bottom drain holes for the water to escape? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
  18. Hi. Does anyone have any advice on the best cargo net for the boot of the alphard. Or another solution to stop items moving and rolling around.
