Hi,

I have a Series 20 Vellfire with 3.5L Engine.

I would like to change the transmission fluid but having some trouble sourcing genuine parts for it.

I have tried to use the Toyota parts catalogue but with little success and there are lots of cheap floating around online.

Does anyone know what the genuine part number(s) is/are for the Transmission filter and gasket (if separate).

Thanks

There is a an official toyota manual for this somewhere for this job. we had a PDF and downloaded it and read the step by step how to change the fluid properly.

i will ask my friend if he still has it.

For mine, same engine / transmission as yours, the filter can be this Blueprint option, ADT32137, came with the gasket, or equivalent, and the fluid is the Toyota ATF WS, for World Standard apparently.

hi Nic as bignev says you got blue print  ADT32137 this comes with the gasket and filter blueprint is a good jdm brand or if you want to go genuine toyota only parts buy from partsouq  genuine parts only they in dubia but shipping is very quick no import charges if you use fedex as the courier here is a link added parts to basket you need to buy filter and gasket seperatly https://partsouq.com/en/shop/shoppingCart/view  oe no.s for each item next to each part.

Thanks guys. I've ordered the blueprint part and will order the transmission oil too then I should be good to go

yeah, it seems a little of an unknown as to how much fluid is needed.

I've just ordered 5 litres. So once I get started, I'll take some photos etc to show the process to add to this Forum.

I've been looking in to this recently, I believe the 3.5 V6 uses the U660E transmission and that Toyota classed it as a "sealed" system not meant to be opened as part of a regular service, just drain and fill every 40,000-50,000 miles, 3.5-4l of Toyota WS to replace what comes out (7-8l if completely replacing) and then check fluid levels at 40c

Wouldn't hurt to replace the lot but I probably wouldn't be doing it every service.

yeah I won't be flushing the whole system. As you said, it will just be drain and fill but I will remove the sump to access the filter and change this too.

I only recently bought the car and have no record of the fluid being changed

peace of mind all fluid changed, always do it. i did think of changing anti roll bar bushes as i always change them on older cars, makes a difference... until i saw where they were located... yeah i left them.

Obviously I agree with you guys, as I did that too!
